ID: h3nx5c3ID: h3no4lyYou probably know, but in case you don't, Resident Evil 6 doesn't have anything to do with 7. Like at all. It's also not that great of a game. But I had a ton of playing with co-op with my girlfriend.
So just be aware if you still want to play 6 first.

said. RE7 is it's own self-contained story that has only loose connections to the greater lore. If you get RE6 before 7 you'll be completely lost as that game was the main culmination of the original storyline that went from 1-6.ID: h3noe176 is good
ID: h3qp1cdWhile it lost the horror, it had cool BOWs like the Bloodshot and Napads, and the J’avo having a whole array of mutations was a neat mechanic.
ID: h3okvgrI’d play the RE 2 and 3 remaster. As an avid RE fan 6 isn’t great, but it’s a fun game. It takes some crazy story turns and is really the culmination of the other games. 2 and 3 are much closer to the originals and 7 and 8.

Man I remember playing it through the first time and I was just like "man fuck these people and fuck this house" then when you get to meet the real family I was just like "man......am I the asshole?? These people......this just hurts."

7 was a soft reboot that had almost nothing connecting it to the rest of the series (Which is one of the things making it so great IMO). 8 is where Capcom started to back pedal and make it more like the other games and tried to give it more of a connection to the greater lore.
