You know it’s true
2 : Anonymous2021/07/18 18:01 ID: h5nnzym

In general, I have no problem with a $60 price tag for a brand new game. Where I draw the line is when that price tag is just a gateway for endless microtransactions. Fuck off. I paid for a game, not a god damn store.

3 : Anonymous2021/07/18 20:46 ID: h5oabpx

maybe if dev's actually made 60 dollar games worth 60 instead of shit than i'd buy. Meanwhile the 6k pc I have can do many things.

4 : Anonymous2021/07/18 16:49 ID: h5ndrao

OP should clarify, but I think the point is that some people balk at paying $60 for a console game but don't have same issues paying thousands for gaming PC.

ID: h5osadc

It's not like the game comes out cheaper on pc. It's just games in general. And if you think oh pc has discounts so it's different. Console has discounts for 2 gens now that's old argument.

5 : Anonymous2021/07/18 16:39 ID: h5ncb9g

Ya I don't remember the last time I've spent $60 on a PC game but ya definitely payee way to much on my pc

6 : Anonymous2021/07/18 19:07 ID: h5nwzxh

I balk at most if not all $60 games because the trend seems very clear to me, release a shitty buggy unfinished half ass-baked game that should've been $30 at most then spend the entire year fixing bugs and have my gaming experience be a roller coaster of high and low moments but ultimately left disappointed and full of regret.

7 : Anonymous2021/07/18 16:37 ID: h5nc0ky

Damn, that is one shitty case for a SLI System and who the fuck pays 60$ for a PC Game?

ID: h5njbr4

The one who made this meme. Bet he owns a console.

ID: h5oa3wa

It's a fractal define r5. Industry standard for a long long time

ID: h5oanum

Its garbage. It was never any good.

8 : Anonymous2021/07/18 16:43 ID: h5ncwzw

The way I look at it is if I can afford the PC I’m not going to worry about the cost of games I want to play.

Can’t remember the last time I paid over $30 for a game on PC that said.

9 : Anonymous2021/07/18 18:41 ID: h5ntiim

Possibly 4 hours of gameplay vs something you use for many years? I swear the 10 year olds are coming out of the woodwork with all these stupid posts lately.

10 : Anonymous2021/07/18 16:31 ID: h5nb18s

Indeed steam sells games for 20% les than their console versions

ID: h5nc8ty

But a good pc runs soooo much more in price. Plus patience is a virtue for getting cheaper games

ID: h5oqkg8

Building a decent gaming pc is worth the price of a console

ID: h5njfxl

And most of the times they still get a discount on the already cheap price they have in comparison to the consoles.

11 : Anonymous2021/07/18 18:12 ID: h5nphz5

Seems like a pretty dated meme given hardware is skyrocket prices and no one is buying anything right now.

12 : Anonymous2021/07/18 17:17 ID: h5nhqgh

Isn't SLI dead? Who's buying that pre-built now?

13 : Anonymous2021/07/18 17:47 ID: h5nlygr

You can only do ONE thing with a 60 dollar game and that is play that single game. You can do pretty much ANYTHING with a gaming PC. So idk what your point is lol. Yes this is the same exact reaction I have.

14 : Anonymous2021/07/18 18:04 ID: h5nobta

For the price of 20(30) 60 USD Games, you can have a balling ass rig that will allow you to obtain steam sales and free games from competing store fronts that accrue multiple thousands in savings and the thing will last 2 or 3 console generations.

15 : Anonymous2021/07/18 18:04 ID: h5nodm4

The pre-built pc that I have will probably out perform the ps5 and xbox series x. I bought it when the xbone came out 4 years ago....for about 1300 a little over double what a console costs.

I use it for work and play. Seems like a better deal to me.

16 : Anonymous2021/07/18 18:27 ID: h5nrl8c

Definitely true but at least when I build a PC I know what I'm getting for my money.

17 : Anonymous2021/07/18 19:26 ID: h5nzg51

Last time I checked you couldn't install games, install mods for games, download and watch movies and TV shows, listen to music, run emulators, create videos and movies, edit photographs, browse the internet, use countless applications and run demanding video games on a 60 dollar game.

18 : Anonymous2021/07/18 17:01 ID: h5nfgyk

Accurate AF ahahaha

19 : Anonymous2021/07/18 17:28 ID: h5nj7xw

Imagine paying thousands on a pc to play indie games

ID: h5oykr7

I do, I love indie games more than most AAA titles these days.

20 : Anonymous2021/07/18 16:46 ID: h5ndait

I get my games on release date yet don't pay $60

21 : Anonymous2021/07/18 16:50 ID: h5ndvfz

Top of the line components in order to play game released five years ago I got on sale for $4.99.

22 : Anonymous2021/07/18 17:20 ID: h5ni346

If they were "just" $60 games it wouldn't be a problem.

23 : Anonymous2021/07/18 17:29 ID: h5njf1n

So Steam Deck is a nice access point to game sales?

24 : Anonymous2021/07/18 17:51 ID: h5nmjgx

Like Metallica preached sad but true....

25 : Anonymous2021/07/18 17:59 ID: h5nnp1o

26 : Anonymous2021/07/18 18:40 ID: h5ntcaa

Well.. Yeah.. That's the idea..

27 : Anonymous2021/07/18 19:43 ID: h5o1s1e

Pc doesn't require loot boxes to run

28 : Anonymous2021/07/18 22:59 ID: h5os18t

yeah it's because that $60 game is not better than the $40 game on my 6 year old computer, except it "makes use of" the latest gougingly expensive hardware in a trivial way.

when RE8 gains fps by turning off DRM, I have my doubts over the optimizations of games that run like dogshit on the newest hardware.

29 : Anonymous2021/07/18 23:08 ID: h5ot4gp

If you were going to buy a desktop and a console you might as well put it all into the desktop.

30 : Anonymous2021/07/18 18:20 ID: h5nql1i

You can pirate every single game. Run emulators on console or platform excusive.

Use a custom VPN to get better lobbies.
