- The original GTA
-
I truly feel lucky having got to play that game when it came out, it was awesome

Woah. Memories I forgot I had.
ID: h6iwyl8Came to say this. It stirred something in the deep meats
-
I don’t ever remember playing this game with more than maybe 15 fps
ID: h6hrfgtI was seriously playing this game at 1 or 2 fps the first time, then we got an upgrade on our computer and suddenly all the motions were smooth. Blew my mind.
ID: h6hyyc8Thus game was SO UNSTABLE! I remember crashing half the time during the races and having to wait for my dad’s insanely slow computer to boot back up
ID: h6hjxgkI don't remember frame rates playing this game I was so young.
ID: h6hxbvvI didn’t know what frames were but I knew it felt like shit
ID: h6hif2aHonestly, same. Still had fun hahaha

Brick by brick.
Tock by tick.
No matter how thin.
No matter how thick.
Papa told Mama,
and Laura told Nick.
You can move a mountain,
if you do it brick by brick.
ID: h6i4vudMan, I still to this day have all those jukebox songs stuck in my head!
-
This game was actually so sweet
-
LMFAO this game came out 1 month before GTA did on PS1.
The very first GTA was released October, 1997.
Lego Island was released September, 1997. -
The brickster!!
-
This reminds me of that lego game where we made our own cars. Is it the same game? Or can someone point me to that lego game?
ID: h6h3phfYou can build cars in this one, they also has another game I think called Lego Racers
ID: h6ikpgcYeah there were two of them
ID: h6h35xvYou can build a car in this game
ID: h6hrer0You probably mean Lego Racers but there was a Game Called "Lego Creators" where you could build anything.
ID: h6i3lf5ID: h6ielyhYeah huge sandbox game. Racers was great and Lego Loco and Stunt Rally were good too.
ID: h6hsk0nLego Racers! best cart racing game ever IMO
-
Huh, came out a month before GTA.
-
YOU CAN MOVE A MOUNTAIN IF YOU DO IT BRICK BY BRICK
-
This was actually the first game I ever got.
-
I remember playing this game often when I was much younger.
-
I remember I scratched the CD like a week after I got it and was overly distraught... Luckily my mom bought me another copy lol
-
I was like 14 when this came out and very sneaky about playing it. Waiting until my family was out to fire it up because lego was for kids. Lol. It was pretty fun.
ID: h6hmijvThat's sad. Your family sound like a bunch of downers. I'm currently 32 and nothing gets me more excited than a new Lego set.
ID: h6hmlokThey were. Now I do what I want.
-
Now that’s a potent dose of nostalgia.
-
I can remember my mom ordering the new gateway PC that showed up in the black and white (cow) spotted box. I had THIS game and Jaraussic Park: Chaos Island... The movies, Holy hell.
-
I remember being a tester for this game...
-
Oh my God, this was the best
-
Just gonna leave this here
-
Damn this just unlocked some memories haha
-
Only by a month
-
Pretty sure I got this game as a prize in a box of Cheerios lol. A true classic
-
What an awesome classic. Thanks for bringing it up to everyones mind. The OG Minecraft/GTA.
-
Loved playing this when I was little on my grandparents pc lol. Brutalmoose has a good video about them if anyone wants a nostalgia trip xD
-
I believe they came out the same year.
-
Holy shit I forgot about this gem. Idk how it holds up but I really loved this game when I was a kid.
-
This was awesome. Does anyone remember the cave that the road went up to? I always thought there was supposed to be something more you could do there but never figured it out.
-
Impossible that someone else remembers this!
-
The secret cave was always a mystery to me but then I learned there’s nothing behind the door 🙁
-
Got this game when i was sick. Maybe 8 years old then. Such good memories playing this
-
I think about this game from time to time. It was so much fun.
-
I remember this. I fricking loved it as a kid.
-
Man this game, rock raiders, stunt rally, Star Wars, and that other medieval game were such a vibe back then
