Is that the first game set in North Korea or the sequel? If it's the first one I had it on my OGXbox and I loved it.
Had so much fun just blowing shit up, it was really good for stress relief and calling in an airstrike or training artillery down on someone's head was priceless.
I didn't like the sequel as much though.

I actually went back to play this again recently and I had to stop. The graphics aren't nearly as good as I remember them and I didn't want to ruin all my good memories.

We are ready for this remake. SO SO ready. Make it Just Cause but with greater emphasis on territory conflicts and air strikes and you've got my money.

Tried to replay it Series X. Runs at 60fps and the music is way better than I remember, but the controls for shooting and driving are too old school. At least the resolution is fine

Old games are great but we are in a draught for new games. Let's give remakes a rest for a little while and encourage newer ideas.
ID: h7063nsNah, new games are too much of a gamble. Sometimes they're good, and sometimes they suck. If we do remakes of games that we KNOW were good, they're more likely to be good.
Plus they haven't done a remake of Mercenaries yet, so we have to get that in first, and then maybe we'll talk a break. but not yet.
ID: h70prs1My god, this draught is insane. There's barely anything on my radar. I saw this post the other day where it showed like 20 games that released in 2011 and I had played 11 of them. I'm jealous of past me.
There are some games I want remasters of because the chance for a sequel is pretty much zero.
Remasters/remakes I'd kill for : Ghost Recon 1, rainbow six raven shield, splinter cell trilogy, Army of Two, Burnout revenge, Quake 3, need for speed high stakes, need for speed underground 2.

Loved these games. Not being over powered but having the ability to sneak in somewhere and slap a bomb right on top of a bunker was so satisfying.

I'm still salty that the third game was in development and then EA shut down the studio, then they started work on that multiplayer title and ended up shutting that down as well.

Eeeyup - that's this one. Or at least - I never had the second one, only the first back on my PS2, so maybe it was both. Either way, this was an absolutely amazing game (or, to my tiny megalomaniac child brain it was anyway).
I think I ended up hated by every faction except the Russians, and blew up the South Korean base at least once per play-session.
Good times...
