Saw these at my local Sam's club.

That’s not even worth the drive to sams club, but worth it if you’re already there for sure

ID: h86949k

I'm never there for electronics. Just part of my weekly grocery shopping trip. I was just killing time while the wife went to the restroom.

ID: h8699p0

I would snag that steam card. Same Club used to do $10 off each $100 card. Those were the days

ID: h87h8cu

Do you have to pay any tax on those?

ID: h86vluv

They apparently also apparently sell them online. Not sure if they ship the card or just email you a code.

ID: h87h2j0

Either way. I was able to get my Spotify cards delivered by email, but your mileage may vary with other cards

ID: h86vwwg

Not sure about Sam's club, but Costco has this for their online codes as well. Eg:

God bless Costco

Step 1. Buy the gift card Step 2 sell the gift card for £100 Step 3 repeat Infinite money glitch

ID: h870noi

This doesn't work, because those gift cards already sell for less than face value online. I used to buy my PS+ cards off card-selling websites for 80% off or more.

There's a lot of people who launder money through gift cards. If you steal somebody's credit card, that's how you do it. You spend as much money as fast as you can on gift cards, which are (theoretically) untraceable, and now you can sell them for cash. It doesn't matter if you sell them for less than you paid, because it wasn't your money in the first place. So most go for less.

EDIT: No, I don't know where to get them. I haven't done it in over a year, but I just googled for PSN cards and read website reviews on reddit. There might not be any good deals out there in August 2021, the cheap deals definitely did come and go.

When I was a teen I would buy my box live cards from a guy who would email you a code. Was I just buying scammed peoples codes then?

ID: h87ebz0

Recently an Xbox employee got caught for making gift cards then selling them. He made millions selling £10 gift cards. He sold so many that he reduced the real world value of gift cards massively.

Edit: This is an article about it:

ID: h871pw6

Any one you’d recommend to not get scammed?

Edit: It’s ok. I won’t do it. I just thought it would be nice to get my son something newer. He typically just plays whatever is at the discount bin.

Where can you possibly sell gift cards for 100 percent of their value?

4 : Anonymous2021/08/08 18:48 ID: h874zrj

The real secret is lining this up with the rotating credit card 5% deals.

So, buy 20 $100 Steam gift cards, get one free. Seems reasonable. Should cover a few years of quarterly sales.

ID: h87kf2i

Or buy 4, save $20 off the steam deck (or 5/$25 for the middle model; or 6/$30 for the top model)

6 : Anonymous2021/08/08 16:51 ID: h86pug1

Hey a few bucks in your pocket is better

7 : Anonymous2021/08/08 18:03 ID: h86z824

8 : Anonymous2021/08/08 18:15 ID: h870soa

Costco had $100 PSN cards for $80 last time I was in.

Does your county charge taxes for gift cards?

ID: h873xv8

I don't think any do. You pay tax on the merchandise you buy with gift cards, so that would be double taxation.

ID: h879gkh

In the US, the gift card isn't taxed. The purchases made using those funds are subject to taxes if applicable.

ID: h86h920

Okay, what counties actually charges sales tax on obtaining gift cards? These are considered cash equivalents and are not subject to sales tax. If someone pays sales tax on obtaining them, then they are just going to be charged sales tax again when they use the card.

11 : Anonymous2021/08/08 20:09 ID: h87fefn

That is bad ass.

12 : Anonymous2021/08/08 15:44 ID: h86h579

Costco has it as well

ID: h8769k1

Better I think. Costco has had 4x$25 Nintendo credits for $89.99 for weeks

ID: h86hfe1

I figured as much. I prefer Costco to Sam's but Sam's is just much closer to where we live.

Gift cards are easy money for companies, restaurants, etc.

Worst case scenario, they're a meal or product/service paid well in advance.

At best, the value of the product/service/meal is only partially redeemed, or not at all, and that's just free money.

There's so much value floating around in the form of unredeemed gift cards that selling them for under their value is statistically still profitable

When you see someone use void space this well you can tell they understand art. wish I did

15 : Anonymous2021/08/08 21:09 ID: h87n9uu

How long did it take for you to make this?

ID: h87o6m9

Like 10 seconds. 2 seconds to snap the pic and 8 to upload.

16 : Anonymous2021/08/08 19:27 ID: h87a1zd

Now sir, tell the manager it's for family purpouses only. Do not tell them it's for Microsoft, they will charge you extra! Now get $5000 of google giftcards to me or I'll lose my job sir!

17 : Anonymous2021/08/08 19:42 ID: h87bzq6

"UNLIMITED credit"

18 : Anonymous2021/08/08 20:51 ID: h87kya1

It was a good risk that paid off and makes this work stand out!

19 : Anonymous2021/08/08 21:34 ID: h87qg9b

I'll have to remember this the next time the IRS calls me.

20 : Anonymous2021/08/08 15:20 ID: h86e3ea

21 : Anonymous2021/08/08 15:28 ID: h86f4rz

Sams club, at least the few in my area, always sells these at a discounted price.

22 : Anonymous2021/08/08 18:44 ID: h874j0o

The steam dollar has the highest value

23 : Anonymous2021/08/08 21:23 ID: h87p1ty

I love how it’s neither landscape or portrait, it’s incredible! 🙂

24 : Anonymous2021/08/08 15:55 ID: h86ijkm

Is this free money?

ID: h86lk6h

Well you still have to pay the discounted price, but the value you get on the card does exceed the amount you pay.

ID: h86lnzl

Wasn’t serious. Was trying to meme

25 : Anonymous2021/08/08 17:16 ID: h86t1ii

Too bad my sam's club closed

ID: h879ltw

BJ's and Costco also do this, they get them in bulk/at this price and just never charge the extra 5 bucks for whatever reason
