Who is your idol in the first picture?
ID: hacvmd2It’s Adam Savage. He was one of the Mythbusters and currently he is on the Tested YouTube channel

Funny story about Adam: he apparently likes to go to cons and walk around in full costume, while dropping hints on social media about where he might be at a certain time. This one year at DragonCon I was sitting in a room waiting for a panel to begin, when someone in a gorilla costume came and sat right next to me. He never said anything and then quietly left the room a few minutes later.
It was only after the fact that I heard about him walking around in costume. To this day I still wonder if it was him.

I'd be frustrated with a plexiglass shield when going to a convention. I get the safety from covid. But to me that ruins the experience of meeting someone. I want to shake their hand or hug or something. Makes it feel more impersonal. That's just me though 🙂

ID: had1d5xI know it's far from over. Was just saying I'm not a fan of that level of impersonal from a convention. If the convention I'm going to next month issues that sort or rule I will cancel. Just not worth the money to me. I understand why they would impose that rule, it just makes the experience not worth the money for me. I'm vaxxed and I mask. I do my part on that 🙂
