I will be shortly selling my Red Devil 5700 XT for profit, and want to get 6700 XT as an upgrade.
Which model is best please? I'm looking for best performance and cooling, price isn't really an issue.
At the moment I'm looking at XFX Merc, Asus ROG or Red Devil again.
Thanks

Performance, they are all so close it won't matter.
Cooling wise, I think the red devil was the best cooling and noise ratio, followed by the Asus
I think it was Gamersnexus or Hardware unboxed that did a decent 6700xt round up comparison
ID: hcq2dl6ID: hcr1s3rTUF would probably be right behind the strix because it has a slightly lighter overclock but about the same cooling capabilities

The one you can get.
ID: hcq20cdPretty much every model is in stock in UK
ID: hcq754iAt $479? Or the equivalent in pounds if adding VAT etc. I mean I can see some available all over the place, but the prices are nowhere near MSRP..
ID: hcqib8rAt double the price keep your 5700xt

Got a Red Devil and it's a nice looking card with great cooling
ID: hcq24tgThanks
ID: hcq4ks3FYI ...this thing is huge even for a 6700XT
ID: hcp87wwMe too.

Hellhound white and nitro+ are the best cooling ones. Xfx I think is up there too
ID: hcq2eesCheers

Nitro+ or Red Devil
ID: hcq1vvbThanks

If price isn't an issue, why buy an overpriced 6700 XT when you could get a reference 6800/6800 XT?
ID: hcq1vc2I can't unfortunately, there is no stock anywhere and if there is, it's over £1000
ID: hcq5m14If you want my opinion, you should try to snag a reference model GPU from AMD. Then, once you do, sell your 5700 XT.
I don't believe prices are going down anytime soon, so there really isn't a rush to sell your 5700 XT.

Sapphire Nitro. Exceptionally quiet(too quiet for it's own good lol), software bios switch and easily replaceable fans
ID: hcq27ghThanks but I don't like design of it (too much silver).
I had Nitro 580 and it looked out of place.
ID: hcq6uptWhile you may not like it, Sapphire does produce the cards with the highest build quality on the amd side (imo) so since getting a gpu is so hard currently you should choose quality over design language, after all you buy a gpu to use it, not to admire it i would suppose.

Xfx Merc is the best. Quietest of all, great overclocker, mine is top 1% timespy, looks great.

I have an Asrock Challenger Pro and it's very quiet.
ID: hcq1xu6Thanks

Everyone has their opinion (including me), but...
If you care about stable temps, excellent build quality, and eye candy isn't high on your list of priorities, then the Asus TUF model is where it's at.
I own a 6800 (non XT) and I am extremely pleased with the design.
No sag because it has built in supports, all aluminum shroud for better heat dissipation, super quiet, stable temps, looks sharp but simple. Price is right (at least in my area) as well.
If the XFX was available I may have gone with it instead, solely because all things being equal, I did love how they designed the LED strip on it.
ID: hcq1wyyThank you for a detailed answer

Gaming X/Z trio.
I've got the 6800 XT and I couldn't be more pleased.ID: hcq2bopThanks, but I would prefer to not get MSI
ID: hcq3f9vI feel you, I got mine at 50 bucks above reference mrsp so it was an easy choice.
ASUS is a good choice or perhaps the XFX. Just make sure the card has a proper cooling solution.

Any except biostar 😀
ID: hcq293hThanks, would never buy Biostar lol

ASUS, XFX Merc, Nitro+, Powercolor Red Devil
In that order. I've got the Nitro+ myself, it's an impressively cool card. Avoid MSI like the plague, they've been known to skimp on graphics card cooling.
ID: hcq2480Thank you.
By Asus you mean ROG? Why is it better than XFX? Does it have better cooling?
ID: hcr2u5fYes, but it's also ridiculously expensive so the MERC 319 is often crowned the best 6700 XT.

I have the gigabyte 6700XT and its been flawless
-
i have the red devil, thing cools like a beast and is silent. id say it’s the best.
-
XFX QICK 319 (I have this one), XFX MERC 319, PowerColor Hellhound, PowerColor Red Devil and Sapphire Nitro+.
-
Hellhound is really good despite being prices on the lower end compared to other 6700 XTs. It's a bit quieter than the Red Devil but cooling suffers a tad. The Red Devil is excellent though.

Cooling, red devil 6700xt. I was concerned for awhile that my gpu was only hitting 51c under gaming load. Also, I have to say that enabling Sam actually decreased load on the gpu and brought it down a few degrees as well. I wanted the nitro+ but red devil has better temps and is quiet under load. I am very happy with Powercolor this time around.
ID: hcr6kpfYou can pick one at Amazon at inflated msrp right now. Sell the 5700xt and buy the 6700xt, basically a free upgrade. I paid 439 for my nitro+ sold for over 900 and bought the 6700xt...profit

Thanks.
I understand ROG and not TUF?
