Hey Rockstar, instead of remastering GTA 5 for third time, why not remaster it’s predecessor? Which as far as I’m concerned, was FAR better in almost every way imaginable

Cuz they can't milk the players out in gta online in any of the previous gta games. Oh, and just make a port from the ps4/Xbone version of gta v to ps5/xsx is waaaaay cheaper as actually making a remaster

I only played a friend's copy of 4, but I hated the driving. I can't remember what it was about it I disliked (too heavy? Too slow? Too precise?), But it sucked the joy out of the game for me right away.
Would love to try it out again with either 3 or 5's driving physics, as I hear it was a really fun story.

Im gonna spit some unpopular opinion, GTA4's missions were not fun, in that regard GTA5 far better

ID: hcu4d9fI think GTAIV had some pretty fun missions. The one where you go into a lawyer’s office and have various ways of killing the target always sticks out to me. And ofcourse there’s the legendary bank robbery mission inspired by Heat. Or the mission where you have to go to a hospital in a doctor’s outfit to kill a guy.
I also liked the missions where you can choose between two options, although in most cases one choice was obviously superior.
Idk, I liked the bleakness of Liberty City. It fit the story.
ID: hcu88ldOr the mission where you're doing a hit in a park, but don't know what the target looks like. So you have to call his cellphone and try to see who picks up in order to find out if it's the guy you're supposed to kill. Once you find the target you can just kill him out in the open or follow him into the park bathroom. Its much more gritty than any of the other GTA games. I also love the fact that you can do special executions on certain enemies.
ID: hcuwyw9Agreed but while I prefer 5 or over 4, 4 handled the heat system waaaaaaaaaaaaay better over 5. In 5 it's practically impossible to outrun the cops there so unreasonably aggressive.

I had a dream about this the other night. It was GTA IV, setting, storyline, characters, script, everything, just with next-gen graphics and physics...but still with the hilarious ragdolling. The whole saga; Nico, Tony, the Lost...everything.
I'd pay a huge amount of money for that.

I disagree. people just like to hate on GTA V, it's easily better than most of the older games, some might have better stories but it's generations ahead in pretty much everything else, I mean there is a reason it's still selling after 7 years? The game is just good and you can't really find anything like GTA online in the market, it's unique. This game is an icon and it deserves to live that long.

GTA 4 isn't better. The first 1/3 of the story is tutorials. This is how you drive. This is how you punch. This is how you take your cousin bowling. Its like the game punishes you for wanting to play it. Its also built on a terrible foundation that would make a "remaster" almost impossible.

Or here's an idea. Remaster San Andreas which was FAR better than GTA IV in almost every way imaginable. I hope those rumoured remasters are true and they aren't just shitty mobile ports.

Hey, don't shit on 5 like that. It's still a great game, and even online around 5 years ago. But, it went to shit after they started adding futurisitc vehicles and other futuristic bullshit.

I don't understand why you'd want to go back and play these archaic versions of GTA. They'd have to remake them, going back to three and not being able to fly a plane would just be dumb. I don't want to revisit 5 or any of them, bring me something new.

GTAV makes half a Billion a year on microtransactions and that's not even a joke as ridiculous as that sounds so for them to drop that and develop a single player game with no online features to rip kids off probably doesn't tickle their pockets enough.

I know why people prefer gta 5. But I agree with you, imo gta 4 was way better. I really love the game's physics, the way you drive cars, the insane recoil on weapons

Grand Theft Auto IV is best GTA ever made. Change my mind.
Also works really well on pc though, i ran the game on 4k and it was spot on. All the Games for Windows Live nonsense gone forever.
