For me it’s definitely the regenerator or the Iron Maiden. I was just a young grasshopper when I ran into those abominations. They’re breathing is terrifying and movements are haunting.

The thing that made me want to play Resident Evil the most though, were the simple zombies. RE 1-3. No frills, nothing fancy. I had been a fan of zombie horror since I was a kid, watching Night of the Living Dead in black and white. Loved it. I would absolutely love if Capcom we're to make a zombies only game, outside of the RE universe, a Survival game. Maybe even open world.

Hunter Gammas. They scared the hell out of me as a kid and still to this day remain some of my favorite monsters.

Non-bosses, I gotta go with Hunters. I mean, I HATE dealing with them, but that is because they are the most magnificent killing machines. Unlike other BOWs, they look like a finished product, like the lab said, "yep, that's the one! Release them!". They get my pulse up, they keep me creeping cautiously and trying like hell not to trigger them before I can see them.
Lickers are kind of a tie, I think. Not nearly as polished looking, but that adds to their grotesque charm. I like the noises and the way they go into a frenzy when they sense you. Nasty things.

William Birkin - Didn’t finish Re2 for a long time because seeing the monster together with the dead guy’s face on it and walking with a pipe creeped me out.

The zombie is still the scariest enemy I’ve ever faced, as well as my favorite. Especially in the remakes, I love their unassuming slow walk, and when it changes to a sudden fast as hell lunge after you with that scream is the epitome of survival horror. No villager, no werewolf, and really no other enemy makes me go “oh shit!” even after I’ve played almost all the games in the series.
