All neatly organized until you picked up an herb. Then it just completely screws everything out of whack

It's bothering me that the pistol has 1 round and there's an ammo box of 9 rounds. Reload and get that 1x2 slot!
ID: hd8e7vyHe's gotta be at the end of Chapter 2 so it's not worth it to reload. He'll be upgrading the pistol and shotgun at the first merchant across the drawbridge in Chapter 3.
ID: hd8fru8I really liked that part of RE games. At first it was like a petty way to cheese some extra ammo but eventually turned into a side challenge to maximize ammo gains.

In RE4, the better aspect of the game IS limited resources and the constant drive to replenish that limited supply. I always thought it added to the experience. Yes I've probably spent too much time sorting and fitting that effing briefcase, but soooo satisfying...

ID: hd8n962For the first few years it was out, there was a lot of gatekeeping around calling it survival horror since it was possible to have a deep inventory if your good enough. I'm glad that seems to have died down, that game is a masterpiece.

ID: hd964hjThough honestly, compared to earlier games, re4 showers you in resources. I rarely, if ever feel like I'm running out of ammo in that game, cause all the enemies drop ammo. Compare that to re2/remake for example, where dispatching two zombies not only doesn't permanently kill them, but eats through all of your ammunition for the next hour. Don't get me wrong, I prefer not having to be stingy about every little scrap of ammo I get - RE4 is one of my favorite games of all time, but I definitely wouldn't describe resource management as all that important in that game specifically.
