I’ve played the shit out of it on Gamepass- the core of it, the handling, is excellent. The look is cartoonish but the driving model a bit more sim-cade, which I think turns some people off. It has satisfyingly different and weighty cars and all the usual Dirt Rally style “proper” rally moments like a watersplash, hairpin bends, tight village sections etc. Depending on price I’ll grab it on the PS5 too.

From the developer of Absolute Drift, so I'm expecting goodness. Hope the problems the XBox launch had means we get a fixed up smooth release.

I hated the physics of this game, it was insanely unforgiving, and just way, way too weighty. It wasn’t even a “get good” thing, I did, and I still didn’t enjoy it very much.

Yep, it's a rally game.
ID: he9zbogYup, and I’m a huge rally fan. I’m ashamed to admit I pay way to much for way too many rally games on release, and this one just has terrible physics and mechanics. They’re going for realistic physics I guess, but they overdue it.

Its pretty crap, I think I tried it on my XS, would not bother to even install on the ps5 I was so unimpressed.

Very cool game to kick back and relax to. Played it on Gamepass and would recommend to anybody who’s into driving games- especially sims/rally. It’s something you can wind down with doing time trails while still having relatively good physics, tracks and of course group b cars. Also the 80s music is great.

Anybody else sick of this indie "art style"? Like sure, let's pretend that not having textures is a cool look, and not a cop out for outdated hardware, and poor optimization.

Oh dang they teased this at the end of absolute drift. Hope this has a bunch of drum and bass in it too.
