I did the same thing to a naked guy on Factory the other day. I was out looking for PMC kills for a quest and ran into him, we looked at each other for a few sec and then walked pass each other. He ran straight for the control board and I ended up protecting him from an other PMC and I just managed to hold him off for him to finish repairing it before getting killed. I added him as friends and asked him how it went and he completed the task. Pretty wholesome.

tip: shoot hatchlings in the legs, give them a valuable item from your secure container (like star balm or an ETG-c) then either bring them to a spot where you could get a SBiH shot on them, or use them for a grenadier kill. I would go for the stim, since they usually think you want them to use the balm. I’ve had some great interactions doing this
