Got some mods for Skyrim that make it look awesome and sometimes i just sit there taking in the view
ID: hjxhfesID: hjxv0riyeah man...I never modded Skyrim before but when you stop for a while and enjoy the view from high place. It felt very relaxing, especially when the soundtrack coupled with ambience makes you feel very...immersed.
After that, I look down and see a horse fighting off a Troll after he yeeted the owner to the sky. And realize that this is Skyrim, and should probably kill the troll for that sweet sweet troll fat.
ID: hjxutfbPlaying through it after not playing for 4 years with the wabbajack mod "The Phoenix Flavour"
I would recommend it. It changes a bunch, adds a plethora of trees and grass changes, adds a beautiful fantasy ENB, but keeps it fairly close to vanilla.
Only downside is that you need a nexusmods premium account, as its 722 mods or so. It is automated when you have one, but if you don't, you need to click 'download' each time.
ID: hjykqdzI did this a lot with Skyrim, and then I got Skyrim in VR, smoked some trees, went into the forest right outside the starting dungeon, and just sat down on my rug pretending it was moss and chilled out for 30 minutes enjoying the nature. I can't make it past that forest. It always captures me with its beauteous gravity.
ID: hjxvnzuThe best mod is one that makes the water that sort of green-blue color. That's all I need.
ID: hjxze2uHow do I make skyrim pretty again? I've tried visual mods but it didn't feel like anymore than a higher resolution textures on things I didn't notice, a reshade, and a few better normal/bump maps.
ID: hjyopzmI'd also like to know. Recently started a new playthrough with the special edition after not touching it for quite a few years and interested in how the mod scene has progressed.
ID: hjyp2amFirst time my jaw has dropped since that first run to river wood on 11/11/11 launch night was when I played modded Skyrim VR last year.
It was unreal how beautiful those 200 mods made it, and running around in Skyrim in VR was like that first play through all over again.

I love synchronizing and spend extra time looking around in assassins creed

Los Santos at night (GTA V), The Witcher 3:Toussaint
ID: hjy8j0zGTA really is a beautiful game, even years later. Especially when the winter map comes out. It's always amazing to me.
ID: hjyk2flToussaint is a breath of fresh air after being in Velen.

Outer Wilds has so many moments like that... halting your movement and becoming wordless while taking in the mind-bending and horrifying but beautiful scenery
ID: hjy69soAgreed. As cool as a lot of backdrops and views that other games have they're usually very static, but everything in Outer Wilds is constantly moving with planets spinning one way while simultaneously orbiting the sun in another direction, while the stars spin around you the opposite way, and the lighting changing dramatically too with the sun rising and setting over the sky in just a couple minutes. Just breathtaking...
ID: hjy849uYup. That's what makes Outer Wilds so great imo, the world is actually dynamic and changes dramatically over time. Video game worlds usually feel too "dead" and "static" to me but this one felt like I was actually in it and experiencing every inch of it on my own foots. Such a masterful world design.

Irythill of the Boreal Valley, looking at you.
ID: hjyog0fYes! Then I got my ass handed to me on the bridge and through Irythill.
Pretty though

Far Cry Series, Rdr2 and Halo got me drooling Infront of my screen. Just waiting until we can go back in time and enjoy the clear air there.
ID: hjyq00dFar cry 5! I loved how good it looked on my PS4. Sure it could look better on other hardware
ID: hjyxhuvExactly. Far Cry New Dawn was just too much... Dead Trees and Plants everywhere. Far Cry 5 had a simple undertone going to it and a very calm atmosphere once you finish the story..

Minecraft still does this for me

My exact feeling when I played Horizon Zero Dawn for the first time.
ID: hjxukhcSame and for Ghost of Tsushima too, can’t wait to see Horizon Forbidden west
ID: hjyl4rsI just started playing Horizon too on 2k. Easily one of the prettiest games I’ve ever played.
-
Makes me want to play Skyrim. It's been a while since I played the intro, ran to Riverwood, spent 30 hours modding and tweaking the graphics, burn myself out and uninstalling again. Yes, I will do that.

I remember when I got a new computer which was a massive upgrade and could actually play newer games on max settings. I spent a few days just going into these games that I'd only been able to play on low settings before and being astounded at how beautiful they were.
ID: hjximpyFar cry primal was my first experience as a new pc guy. Boy was i amazed
