During Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy™ gameplay, some users may experience driver timeouts on some AMD Graphics products such as Radeon™ RX 5500 XT Graphics. A temporary workaround is to disable the Radeon™ Anti-Lag feature in Radeon™ Software. Some users may experience elevated disk space consumption by the Multimedia Athena Dumps folder. Visual artifacts may be observed while playing Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War on some AMD Graphics products such as Radeon™ RX 6800M Graphics. While playing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds™ with multiple displays connected in extended mode, Radeon™ Software may become unresponsive when the user is in the lobby and attempts to open Radeon Software on the secondary display via the context menu. A temporary workaround is to press the Alt + R keyboard shortcut if this happens. Enhanced Sync may cause a black screen to occur when enabled on some games and system configurations. Any users who may be experiencing issues with Enhanced Sync enabled should disable it as a temporary workaround. Radeon performance metrics and logging features may intermittently report extremely high and incorrect memory clock values.AMD Link for Windows Known Issues
Intermittent grey frame corruption might be observed when streaming with HEVC on certain configurations via an Internet connection. A workaround is to use the AVC encoding setting instead.Footnote

Why can't they fix the Enhanced Sync issue? It's been 2 years.
ID: hk9whzcID: hk9wyu3My bet is that 99+% of users dont use it and the problem is complex, so they dont bother
ID: hkb0bm8Funny thing, I have been using it for almost any game with an RX 480, RX 5700XT and recently an RX 6700XT. RX 480 was connected to a LG 1080p panel through a HDMI-vga adapter and the other two are still being used with a Samsung 144Hz Freesync monitor. I experienced some other AMD issues but never had any problem with Enhanced Sync.
ID: hka7s2i90% of that 99% stopped using it because of random black screens lol. The other 9% heard that 90% of people ain’t using it. Nvidia drivers don’t have these issues but I will say that although this particular issue been whack the performance gains that come from AMD drivers over time is nice
ID: hkaiko0I don't even know what is supposed to go wrong with using it, i always have it on.
ID: hk9vfguI think it's broken at the hardware level on Navi 10 so they can't fix it (and so it stays on the known issues list)
ID: hk9w7fgWhats wrong with enhanced sync?
ID: hk9zd3sEnhanced Sync may cause a black screen to occur when enabled on some games and system configurations.
ID: hk9z55nMaybe it's being fixed in a game by game basis or individually by game devs? It used to be a problem for me on Overwatch and Modern Warfare/Warzone around mid 2020 but it got fixed eventually. Don't know when it was fixed for these games tho, got used to playing both without any kind of v-sync on for a good while and only noticed that it was working kinda recently.

I hope this brings some improvements to Forza Horizon 5
ID: hkai0w0Let us know if you notice an improvement.
ID: hkaigjgNo noticeable improvement on my RX 480.
I've had problems with transparent objects like license plates and badges from launch. Let's see if the Forza devs will fix it

Is high idle memory clock for multiple displays and high refresh rates never going to get fixed? I'm running 1900 Mhz while on desktop and have to down my Hz from 144 to 100 for it to be normal.
ID: hkajwl1This is actually an issue with your monitor.
You can use CRU to fix it.In CRU do the following.
Click on the entry that is being used as your desktop resolution and hz, under detailed resolutions.
Click on Edit below it, and copy the Refresh Rate number. Close.
Now click on Add.
In the Timing drop down choose CVT-RB2 Standard.
Paste in the prior Refresh Rate number in the proper field (as it may have the setting set to 59-60hz by default).
Save.
Make sure the new resolution is selected (should be the last selectable one). Click OK.
Then run the Restart64.exe in the CRU folder.
Open Adrenalin and check your Ram Usage and Power Consumption.
ID: hkbbeskTried to do this but didn't let me put 143.994 in the refresh rate. Goes red after 110Hz :/
ID: hka8osnSame. 7680x1440p 75hz and memory is pinned at 100%. Drops to around 40% if I drop to 60hz.

Does BF2042 support the new Super Resolution thing?
ID: hk9j131No word on FSR support yet. BF2042 is Nvidia sponsored title. I sure hope it is added cuz this game needs it.
ID: hka7w1iCOD Vanguard is an nvidia title and it has FSR
-
Hoping this fixes CPU util stuck at 0% in the overlay.
Update..nah.
ID: hk9scmgThat happened to me a couple times, i usually fix it by just closing the Radeon software from the icon tray and relaunch it.
ID: hk9xteeClosing Radeon software doesn't fix it for me, getting tired of the little weird things I have to do to make radeon software behave properly.
-
Horizon zero dawn still turns dark with HDR on if you turn on any overlay like performance metrics, if you launch game with HDR disabled and turn it on and avoid performance metrics or radeon overlay there no issues
-
Still experience constant amd wattman timeouts when playing game. Will this driver fix that?
ID: hkaxbmlEver checked if your RAM isnt causin it...?
-
still experiencing random driver timeouts
ID: hkariewI used to have that problem too all the time. I finally RMA'd my 5700xt and haven't had a problem since. It seems to be a hardware issue.
ID: hkbd2seI had that all the time as well with my Vega 56. Not able to RMA as it was pre-owned.
Only thing that fixed it for me was installing the pro/enterprise release rather than the gaming adrenaline release.
Recently tried the October adrenaline and the timeouts came back with a vengeance so switched straight back to September's pro release.

14% performance increase is pretty substantial. Any word on 2K optimization?
ID: hk9eul3I would imagine the 'gainz' being even more substantial at 2K as it's less demanding..oh god, I can't wait to see the new updated benchmarks.

No mention of the Forza Horizon 5 black background PNG bug on rx 400/500 cards....
It makes it so all the transparent PNG's used have a black backgroubd, so the license plate, all the car badges and vinyl's aren't transparent and look horrid, only a problem on AMD polaris cards...
-
I get a DirectX crash on BF 2042 after 2 minutes of play.
-
Did they fix the SAM issue in 21.10.2 with the 5700xt?
-
What about the bugged license plate in Forza Horizon 5?, it's filled with black boxes
ID: hkah9m0Not just license plates, car logos/brands/model names too.
-
RX 6800: "Am i a joke to you?"
ID: hka12bmyea was thinking the same, do you think they kinda just list the 6800 under the XT?.
-
still no fix for the constant 100% GPU load bug on RX 480 🙁
-
I was having those driver time out issues on GotG. Glad that's part of the fix. First time I submitted a bug report. I'd like to think I, personally, alerted them to this issue. ☺️
-
do these drivers actually improve performance for older cards like the 5600 xt or no
-
21.11.1 was horrible for my rx580. less performance in all games, and I'm talking 10-15fps difference! Nier replicant was unplayable and was for some reason stuck at 27 fps not matter what I did ... a complete mess!
-
It seems like this driver introduced a lot of stutter in BF2042 but I don’t know if it’s the driver or the game itself at the moment. I’ll update after I try the previous version once again.
-
Yup. Rolling back to 21.11.1 significantly reduced the stutter. Whatever they worked on this patch sadly didn’t help in my case(5600X/6700XT).
-
Kind of a dumb question, but why do they make these updates focused on improving the performance of just one game at a time? I’d rather see global performance gains and fixes.
-
Its hard to measure global performance gains, not to mention how time consuming it is. Also, most of these global performance gains are incremental and compounds together in a certain period of time with continuous improvement from both drivers and game devs/game engine sides.
-
what ever global optimization could be done is pretty much done already, per title optimization is all that's left
-
AMD could polish up their DX9 drivers but doubt they ever will as we are on DX12.1 now haha
-
Because each game does it's graphic rendering process a little different. They're basically fine tuning it.
-

These driver notes are never full. The full list of changes is multiple pages long but AMD (or nvidia or Intel) only put a few on the official notes.
-
Enhanced sync just needs to go away, don't you guys feel shame? Its been what? 3 ++ years and is still a known issue?
-
Hmm there's no vanguard on there?? Graphic issues like this??
-
inbound
I thought that was because I wasn't on 21.11.1 yet.
Guess it's a game problem.
-
for me it seems to appear after someone uses Mortar Bombing 5kill killstreak or Firebombing run killstreak specifically I think.
-
Looks like HBAO / SSAO glitching out. Might be worth changing those settings next time it happens. If you can confirm it is HBAO you can raise a bug request with the details.
-
So, no increased performance for BL3? 🙁
-
Still no fix for eyefinity and Freesync not playing nice with eachother 🙁
-
I really hope this driver fixes the issue I’ve been having since 21.10.1 where waking from sleep crashes my graphics drivers. Im getting really sick of having to fix them.

What about the normal 6800?
-
Im getting terrible hang/freeze issues in menus in Forza 5. Not sure it's a driver issue but I'm hoping this will fix it.
-
Me too, I didn't have it in my first day of play, but then I updated to the current driver version (before today) and started having the issue
-
Battlefield 2042 surely not well optimized!!! For AMD I hope seeing FSR and other performance tweaks soon...
Vanguard works so much better on RX6600M.
-
I hope Radeon factory reset has been fixed that is absolutely shockingly bad, it caused my boot up to have a black screen and it would not post because of it
Do not use it!
-
AMD pls fix driver for BF2042, cant play a game... crash all time DirectX Device removed...
play on 5900x +6900xt
sam on/off, oc on/off no changes...
-
Has anyone been experiencing crashes? I have a 6800M and can start up basically any game. However that's where it differs, some games will boot regularly while others crash and leave a Dirext X error due to Radeon driver 21.11.2...
-
This driver update seems to have introduced frame drops (stuttering) in Horizon 5 for me.
-
Another useless patch
-
For you maybe
-
i only see the same and more bugs every patch, nothing significant new and important known bug not solved ...
-
Haha amd shit intel won we have won 10/9
-
still no vega igpu relive

It's possible that there are multiple edge cases that are not fixed yet, but still are groped under the same common issue. So until they fix it for all known cases, it's going to stay.
