- AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT Liquid Cooled Edition launches for the DIY market in Europe - VideoCardz.com

Didn't know it was a violation of AMD guidelines, but in germany they already started to sell it iirc 2 months ago (as a "bulk" version)
Edit: Classic ADHD moment kicked in, didn't even read the whole article, mb

That's crazy that you guys have normalized and championed $1,500+ graphics cards. Will gladly take my downvotes.
ID: hm1b1hrID: hm1bflaGotta thank the revolution of crypto. So far they've managed to warm up the planet, create blackouts across regions or countries, finance dictators and organized crime, made gaming more expensive.
ID: hm1m2qlThanks crypto! for doing all that and for lining my pockets along the way!
ID: hm1clmhEveryone keeps blaming crypto. Because that's what those companies want. Crypto is only the part of the issue and not even a major one. Chip shortage and distribution are the main ones.
ID: hm1lygiThat's what the market says, and the market is always right
ID: hm6cletForgot your /s at home?
ID: hm1fbbrWell something as beastly as this will last for 3 or 4 years. Thats not bad. Works out at about 400/ year. It will earn more than that from mining for me. Turbocharge that bitch. Also you can make a lot of money with deep learning.
ID: hm33ihcOn of the best GPUs in the world, by a wide margin, and you think it'll only last 3-4 years?
This thing will be capable of completely effortlessly crushing anything thrown at it for double or triple that, and that's if you're playing high settings, high resolution, and high refresh rate.
ID: hm64zv1400yr, man I feel bad for those that paid scalp prices. I'm content with my AMD Direct Buy $999 6900 XT lmao.

Is a 120mm rad really enough?
ID: hm1bgrdYes
ID: hm1h7zdIm just curious because I mean it's a high tdp card with no airflow on vrms or memory meaning the liquid is potentially cooling all of that with the smallest common rad possible
ID: hm3ckvgIt was perfectly fine on the Vega 64 LC
ID: hm4io1eAs a previous Vega 64 liquid edition owner, it can be enough, but it can also be quite loud. It's silly not to at least have a 240 mm cooler, any enthusiast willing to buy this card will have a case that can mount a 240 mm cooler. I guess they have the "I repurposed an Dell Optiplex 7080 with a 250 watt PSU as a gaming PC" crowd covered to fit the cooler on the 300+ watt GPU lol
ID: hm1ftxkNo, it can't dissipate 320w efficiently enough. 240 is a minimum, 360lc versions of 6900xt are a mile better
ID: hm1uk5pOfc Vega 64 lc 120mm rads are thicker, but they can dissipate 330-350w easily, 65c° average
ID: hm2nogiNo, it can't dissipate 320w efficiently enough. 240 is a minimum, 360lc versions of 6900xt are a mile better
The tests from PCGH and quasarzone have the 6900 XT LC with its 120mm AIO perform more than good enough.
ID: hm1m7bpit's all a matter of water and air flow.
ID: hm2px3kApparently it is.
ID: hm3tr7uI had a fury x, 120mm isn't enough or the fan was completely shit

That is a really nice looking water block!

If I wanted one I would've already bought an AIB one that is already available.
ID: hm1mf8sOh, no!
doesn't want one, to whom will amd sell this one card then??ID: hm3co6pI already got one and will be waiting for the RX7900 XT for my next upgrade...
PowerColor AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT Red Devil Overclocked Triple-Fan 16GB GDDR6
up to 2105MHz(Game) up to 2340MHz(Boost) I'm sure with BIOS mode or power table changes can run higher; it runs super cool while I mine with it to help pay of the cost of buying it. Bought it back in April when it was $1829 list at MicroCenter and the Ultimate version with clocks of only less than 100Mhz higher for boost cost $2299 or something like that...
If I was buying now I'd probably get the PowerColor Ultimate though, since it is only $100 more than the OC version at $1599 versus $1499 at Microcenter.
NONE of the Liquid Cooled ones make much sense... you only get a 100 or 200mhz max boost over the Ultimate... but this model is pathetic with only a single 120 fan & cooler(maybe it is 140, this link didn't say) It only has 2 8-pin power connectors, so I'm not sure it would be much good a overclocking either even with the Navi XTXH; the 18Gbps memory vs. 16Gbps would help a little and also help boost mining, but in my opinion not enough the justify the additional cost.
The main advantage of any of the liquid cooled are they are only 2 slot cards, if you a limited on space.
ID: hm2q03aWhat AIB ones?
ID: hm39qouPersonally, I like my PowerColor 6900XT OC triple fan and huge cooler heat sink keeps it plenty cool...

Bought 3 for myself. This card is a beast. It has the special Samsung memory which makes a huge difference. The normal 6900 XT is heavily bottlenecked by its memory.
ID: hm15o1iBought 3 for myself.
This is why we can't have nice things.
ID: hm176a5maybe he is a competitive OCer and not a miner....
Nah I'm joking grab the pitchforks
ID: hm1f5v0Well theres enough to go around isnt there. Im entitled to buy them arent I. I dont get why Im being downvoted. Its not like you were gonna buy one is it. I need them for deep learning. Not video gaming.
ID: hm1mkccwhat are we? commies? let the man buy as many as he wants.
-
Well, fuck me. I really wanted one, and I could still afford it, but that price is just fucked up. 1749 Euro is almost $2k USD right now.
-
If thats 120mm Rad you could just go for the trippe fan cause thats basically the same.
-
These cards have been up for sale in Bulgaria for months. Very low stock though. But they were available.
-
If it was available here and actually a sane price i would buy it. Got a Vega 64 LC and it's been great.
-
Let's hope we get this stateside too. I wouldn't mind this card for my rig. An RGB fan would be nice though...
-
Liquid-cooled GPU's need to die in a fire.

I was able to get this card for about $1200 through a cyber power pre built. Not a bad value at that price in today’s market. The cooler is just fine in spite of being a diminutive 120mm. See this review and translate it to English if you can’t read German.

If that's the case, I'll go down with you. 2X - 3X MRSP normalized now, unbelievable.
