- My poor man's gaming rig. First PC and I built it myself!

Congrats dude! But ya need a chair for the love of your back lol
ID: hmaqzsrID: hmbnlj5Another pro tip, you can probably get a high end ergo chair like a Steelcase Leap, used for around $200.
These usually retail new for over $1k and businesses sell them to used office equipment outlets every year. They're significantly better than any gaming chair.
My Leap is almost 15 years old, had it for 5 years with zero problems. The $100-150 office chairs I'd buy new in the past would fall apart every 1-2 years.
Your back will thank you.

Word of advice: Get your PC off the carpet. At least 4 - 5 inches above the carpet. Find a sturdy box or maybe move some of those books over.
ID: hmax3nvThis is very good advice. I've had computer fans get wrecked by sucking up dust from the carpet.
ID: hmb98h8Okie dokie! There's a black plate under the pc with some bubble wrap underneath so it's not completely on the ground. I'll see if I can prop it up some more though. Thanks for the tip!

You’re only $90 away from a nice chair to complete it all. Nice bro I have the lian lancool case too
ID: hmar43oThat's the plan! Oh nice, yeah I feel like the case is pretty clean in my opinion.
-
Whats in the case? We need specs
ID: hmba3ldAMD Ryzen 7 5800x
Samsung 1TB SSD + Seagate Ironwolf 4TB HDD
G. Skill 32gb of RAM
EVGA GeForce RTX 3060 12GB for my graphics.
What I can say off the top of my head. Will have to check for the others.
ID: hmc3hbpShould of halved the RAM and spent that on a chair. You don't need 32gb.

My back hurts just looking at this
ID: hmb7jipOh no, are you okay?
-
Congrats dude, now you are addicted, welcome and RIP

My back hurts just looking at this.
-
Looks nice but bro that cannot be good for your back
-
Gaming chair go brrrrrr
ID: hmb9u4hDoesn’t even make sense.
-
Once you are immersed in a game it doesn’t matter the price tag of your rig. Looks like a cozy gaming setup to me. Enjoy!
-
How's that chair feel...I'm a big , but solid grizzly bear and I'm looking for comfy recliner, or recliner•ish chairs
-
Get a chair ya hippie
-
Look lively
-
Better than my setup! Nice.
-
Everyone talking about the chair do they not see your keyboard is on the fucking floor lmao.
-
If you can, use a couch or any decent living room type sitting furniture instead. This is back problems waiting to happen. If you’re stuck like this for a while, consider getting a lap board so you’re not in a weird position with your mouse hand. Also, be sure to keep in mind the light levels. Don’t strain your eyes too much with those blinds. I don’t think enough people keep the room lighting in mind when using computers these days.
ID: hmbaeo6Hey thanks for the tips!
I have a lap board right now actually. I realize the chair isn't the best, but I'll be on the lookout for one next week. Yeah the blinds can be a pain...
ID: hmbt4yhOptimal conditions lessen any problems so it’s good to keep in mind. Sharing the knowledge.

If this is a poor man's gaming rig then mine is a starving kid in Africa.
-
It's not much
-
Checkout the Origami Folding Computer Desk. I only just replaced it after years due to wanting a nicer desk that included sit / stand function.
-
Went ham on the RGB but forgot a proper desk and a chair.
Priorities.
-
My hernia is killing my just by looking at this
-
Nothing poor about comfort while gaming. Only way I see of improvement is a beanbag chair with a handmade platform to hold your mouse and keyboard.
-
Seems legit.

Thanks! I agree that it's not the greatest gaming chair, but I'm hoping to get a new one soon. lol
