I just started this game and it’s been an awesome ride so far
ID: hqlzs1oI picked it up a couple weeks ago, and damn. Not since Witcher 3 have I seen such a meticulously detailed world. Guess thats CD Projekt's bag. The dialog and story beats are great. V comes across as a character with a life prior to the player. And he isnt a distinctly bad or good guy either. Thats what bugged me about Mass Effect. You were either Gandhi with a gun or Space Hitler. No in between. V just does what he wants, and the writing makes it make sense.
Gunplay is ass at the beginning, but I dumped skill into my handgun and crit skill. Now I canoe skulls with one shot.
ID: hqm2vwbIt’s got me hooked. Rarely does a game make me get up a bit earlier to play it before my day starts or stay up later than I should (Very tight schedule). It’s such a new world environment to explore that’s super fun. Find myself walking around Night City just to see everything. It’s a wonder. And the soundtrack of this game is killer. Very much so enjoy it with a pair of solid headphones.
V is great to play as and I love all the nuances in dialogue. And almost instantly I started looking at how I can make my guns more effective lol so good call on that stuff.

I've played it through twice with all side missions and enjoyed my time. It's a brilliant game.
ID: hqkfhanIt's a great game when you go in with reasonable expectations. I didn't follow all the press so I just knew it was a Cyberpunk themed open world game and thoroughly enjoyed it, bugs and all.

I'm having a blast with it so far. Can't speak to what it was like at launch but at this time its all I'm playing.

If you really take some time to admire the scenery, it's damn beautiful.
I spent like 30 minutes at the start literally watching TV advertisements, reading posters, staring at random strangers, cruising around taking in the view...
Normally I'm not one for any of this stuff: i cut straight to gameplay, skip all quest dialogue, kill and loot. But Cyberpunk actually put so much detail into the environment, it's worth some time to admire.

ID: hqjwr0oSame, I had a ton of fun with Cyberpunk 2077. I guess I was also lucky with the bugs because I don’t remember encountering any. Terrible RPG with meaningless choices, but fleshed out universe with stunning graphics and fun gameplay.

You know, I've played through the whole game, done every side mission at least once, side I have yet to come across a weapon of phallic destruction.

I got this real early on in the game, and i only used it since, all the way to game completion. Excellent weapon.

sad that a shitty launch ruined the game for so many. It could've been something great.
ID: hqk4je6The only issues was the console versions. The PC launch for me at least was great and steam reviews were positive the entire launch.
Sucks the console launch was so bad, but running this on 10 year old hardware just wasn’t in the cards and shouldn’t have been available to those systems.
ID: hqkdr7gFun fact; the game was originally developed for those 10 year old systems before they switched mid development to next gen. They should have either stayed with the old Gen, or went completely to new Gen and PC while cutting out the old Gen.
Instead, they tried to aim for the middle, and screwed up both new Gen and old Gen.
ID: hqk6eerEh i do play on PC and even i encountered bugs. EVen on patch 3.1, that one side quest where you visit your old car .. yea that car doesnt spawn so you couldnt even finish the mission.
Nothing could fix it. Obviously there were many other bugs. And as i played GTA before CP, many immersion breaking things. Like low-res traffic in distance, air-walking NPCs etc.
Its actually quite shoking, when you play GTA and then CP like how bad CP actually turns out to be.

I really hate that I listened to the media and reviews. Everyone here seems to really like this game and I can't wait to go home and download it

I bought this on release and enjoyed it on PC with a 2070 at 1440p.
Now I will say the first 10 hours was probably the best experience and after that it went full GOT final season. For me, the game ran well and I went in with no expectations which may be why I enjoyed it.

Why would they? They made their money back before the game even came out and then it went on to be one of the top sellers of this last year. All in all it has been a huge success for them.

This well-reviewed, generally liked game that happened to have technical problems on launch, most of which have been fixed now?
You do realize Reddit does not represent the majority, right? And either way, since when do game developers “fold” because of one rocky launch? Compare the user reviews on Battlefield 2042 and Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam, and tell me why you’d expect CDPR to have folded and why Dice and EA are still a thing?

CDPR marketed and released a AAA title for multiple platforms they KNEW it was ugly and basically unplayable on (and still was as of last summer in my experience). Only sent out pre-release review codes for the PC version. And I’m relatively certain made sure that only reviewers with ultra high-end PCs would be reviewing it… I know for a lot of people they went from a respected, well-liked developer to a very shady one. But everyone will have to vote with their wallets next time around.
