Highly anticipated games from last 2-3 years are all coming in same month.
Elden Ring (Feb 25): Needless to say, one of the top most anticipated game in 2022 apart from God of War. One of the successful gaming company in last decade: Bloodborne, DS3, Sekiro. Initial test playthroughs also gave tons of positive feedback.
Horizon Forbidden West (Feb 18): One of the best game for PS4 is all set for its sequel which looks more rich and vibrant.
Dying Light 2 (Feb 4): Another massive game that has been in works for a long time.
Sifu (Feb 8): Martial arts fighting game with a unique look and gameplay.
We also got Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection — January 28, Destiny 2: The Witch Queen — February 22 and Life is Strange: Remastered Collection - February 1.
There is just so much gaming coming soon! Very exiting times ahead.
EDIT: Calling Fromsoftware as 'most successful' which people didnt like.

It is pretty packed. I'm all about Dying Light, Horizon and Elden Ring.
ID: hubiq08ID: huboozhAbsolver was fun, hoping to see that concept improved upon.
ID: hubwyc2Definitely getting Dying light and Horizon asap. The first ones were amazing
ID: hubxm5hYea, i can wait a bit for elden ring, not that big a fan of Demons Souls and Sekiro, a bit too hard for my taste.
ID: hubwcpcRight on the money. Those are my top 3 picks as well.
Dying light 2 for coop, horizon for my single player... and when I get time after that I'll checkout Elden Ring.
I've honestly never tried any of the fromsoftware games. With all the hype on this one, hopefully I will love it.
ID: huc0z6gI think bloodborne is free in the ps plus collection, I was just like you a month ago I never played a from soft game. Then I played bloodborne for the first time and fell in love. I then bought all dark souls and demons souls. You should give bloodborne a try, it’s incredible
ID: hubrljeThe one there that is a definite day 1 play no matter what for me is Elden Ring.
So I may start up Dying light 2 until that and then put it on the back burner until I finish Elden Ring and come back to it. Horizon would probably feel worse to stop halfway through and would be much better served with more focus. I'll have to loop back around to it later.

Nice to see the pace ramping up, 2021 was a little sparse, but I guess that's to be expected for year 1.
Really excited for Forbidden West, the other games on that list will have to wait. Hoping Sifu turns out good, it looks really cool.
ID: huca3fiThe ps5 first year was actually a good bit better than ps4s.
ID: hucosqtRatchet and clank for ps5 was absolutely brilliant and it came out last year
ID: huc7v8t2021 was a little sparse
It really was. I nabbed the PS5 last year but haven't really had a chance to open her up. February looks set to give me that chance. I've got my eyes on Elden Ring.
ID: huc8zmhI was lucky enough to get just over a year ago, while there wasn't a ton, the games I did get for PS5 were really great. Miles Morales, Returnal, Rift Apart, and Ghost of Tsushima were all amazing, and I've had tons of fun with Hitman 3.
Playing CoD at 120 frames has been fun throughout the year. Not a huge CoD guy, but its a fun quick pastime with my buddies, and zombies is always lulz.
ID: hucd5csIf you haven't checked out Returnal, please do. It was my GOTY last year!

OlliOlli World Feb 8

HFW is the only one I’m really itching to play NOW. Elden ring will have to wait as I have a wife and kids and get an hour a night to play and I would go insane. Dying light was fun but for me I’ll wait for a sale
ID: hubaqwjThats why I don't play Bloodborne, souls type games. I have limited game time and only limited to a few hours a week. (I played 265 hours total in 2021 according to the playstation stat thing they did)
That's why I GT7 is on my list as a few races here and there I get my gaming fix.
ID: hubp6laI'm like this with Demon Souls. I usually can't put more than an hour or two into it at a time and I'm only like 3 worlds but I'd still recommend at least that game.
-
Let's not forget Zenith releasing on PSVR January 27th. The first true MMORPG in VR, cross play with PC and Quest, and all the beta reviews so far have been extremely positive.
-
OOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH
ID: hucp5sxI doubt you can even imagine it!

Destiny Fans WYA? Witch Queen 2/22

Guerrilla and fromsoftware must be so freaking confident in their game to release it one week apart from the other.
We spolied.
ID: hubgz3bI don’t think there’s a lot of overlap there.
ID: hubt8d9I dunno, personally I'm choosing Elden Ring over Horizon which I'll be picking up once I finish Elden Ring. They might have different gameplay styles but they are both large open world games.
I also only play one single player story driven game at a time, so maybe I am in the minority with my game purchasing habits.
ID: huby541The only overlap is that they're both open world actions games. Horizon is wayyy more story-driven and more produced though. It has quests, events, and set pieces, and Dark Souls has boss battles.
ID: huc07a3Guerrilla and fromsoftware must be so freaking confident in their game to release it one week apart from the other.
They aren't really aimed at the same group of people.

Elden Ring is going to hold my poorly body together until GoW comes out, account sharing with my friend means Horizon is a download away but ER is the only game i'm heavily leaning on
-
Oh, and we have GT7 right on the start of March! My wallet is already screaming.
-
Damn how do they not mention King of Fighters XV. Fighting game players down bad.
-
New to owning a PlayStation and haven't played horizon. Should I play the first one before even thinking about the sequal?
ID: hucnu6mProbably yeah
-
Any King of Fighters fans? o/
-
Got Elden Ring and Sifu pre-ordered and I'm pumped
-
Grand tourismo 4th March
-
I am gonna play Elden Ring, talk about Elden Ring, and breath Elden Ring when it comes
-
The majority of this is cross platform. Because covid delayed a bunch of things February is massive for gaming, not just the ps5.
Having said that, there's a few months like this coming up because last year was so quiet.
The most successful game company in the last decade is not from software. Not with any measurement.
-
Witch Queen, baybeee
-
I only care for Horizon, as haven’t played Dying Light 1 yet, and From Software games aren’t really my style, but my god I hope all of these games land and kick ass. We’ve had too many duds on launch recently, we need these big titles to live up to the hype to get this new year going
-
FromSoftware is not the most successful gaming company in the last decade, and is far from it.
edit. OP has edited their post from “FromSoftware are the most successful gaming company last decade”, to “One of the most successful gaming companies last decade”.
I agree that they were successful, and had a huge influence on their genre, but they are certainly not the most successful.
ID: hub8kzlI guess OP thought Metacritic score = success?
ID: hubbwkfEven by that Metric, it would go to Rockstar or Naughty Dog over the past decade.
Or Nintendo, but I’m not sure I count them as they put out far more than anyone else.
ID: hubdap6Even then it's not true.
ID: hubmjc1I think that if you've made a game that spawns an entire new genre, you are definitely one of the most successful developers in the core gaming market.
ID: hubkxrfI don't think OP means success in terms of money-made, they mean quality of games (which I completely agree with -- they're on par with companies like Rockstar and Naughty Dog).
ID: hubdby5They're definitely one of the most successful companies in the past decade. Think of the influence they have had on the industry
ID: hubvhguI don't know if OP has edited the original text but I think "one of the most succesful" fits well. They have amassed an insane cult following and found their niche in the industry. Their games are instantly recognizable and their (AFAIK) unique take on storytelling is widely celebrated amongst their fans. The phrase "x is the Dark Souls of y" is widely used as well to this date. They've made a pretty damn big journey over the past decade.
If we're talking success as in money, then Rockstar is the number one developer by a country mile, it's not even close. But impact on gaming? I think From has a place on the list.
-
Very excited for Horizon. The other two come out in too close proximity to it though so I'll likely pick them up later in the year when there are less games and they go down in price.
-
What would be great is if I could buy a fucking PS5. I’m not bitter yet but if I can’t find a PSV by the time god of war come out, it’s full on Bittersylvania for me.
-
Stupid question, is Elden ring related to skyrim?

Sifu might be a sleeper hit, I'm definitely gonna get it. Along with the rest of the games you mentioned.
