Sony's first party studios never miss.
ID: hz1biaeID: hz1bn53The same game that people were crying about because it wasn't getting a sequel?
ID: hz1nw4jWtf? That game was dope.
ID: hz1cqvsDays gone was awesome. One of my favorite open world from last gen
ID: hz1kmvpDays gone was fantastic
ID: hz1fljjI definitely wouldn't call Days Gone a miss. Its included in the PS+ collection for PS5 which were touted to be some of the best titles of the PS4 generation. No idea why the reviews weren't great, but I thought it was excellent.
ID: hz1ijb9Some people like Days Gone. They really implemented the open world zombie mechanisms really good. And the guns feel awesome as well. My brother has played almost all the playstation exclusives and he terms Days Gone as the best game he has ever played.
ID: hz1rdkhTBH the performance issues were overblown and the game was actually quite good after a slow story in the beginning.
ID: hz1ydebNo? Days Gone didn't deserve the absolute tearing to shreds it got. Sure it wasn't on the level of something like the last of us, but people are acting like it was a gta trilogy situation. I played it at launch on a ps4 pro. Game was not even close to being as glitchy as people were saying. The world design was awesome as well, and I liked the bike mechanic. Were the characters a bit cringe? Sure. The story was also not really award material, but the way people bombarded it was absolutely not deserved.
ID: hz1bykyYou mean Sony Bends first AAA game that was on par if not better than some IPs that have been around for a decade Plus?
ID: hz1ct3pThere will always be an exception to the rule
ID: hz1jumaIt’s like the Captain Marvel of PlayStation exclusives
ID: hz1haxcI liked it a lot. Especially on the PS5. The story was a little boring, but I found the gameplay really fun
ID: hz1l0muGame was a treat when I played it on PS5, know it had some issues on PS4 but didn’t play that so can’t speak to it.
ID: hz1l8cuI liked days gone.
ID: hz1qebyI didn't enjoy it. Found it boring as hell and generic feeling.
But allot of folks did. And it definitely had some things going for it
ID: hz23iobSuch a great game :), the reviews are great too
ID: hz2giqqWouldn’t call it a great game but it isn’t a miss like say biomutant. It had its moments for sure and no one else did hordes better
ID: hz3zl6bI think you had safer options like Knack or that car destruction game that came out last year aha. Days Gone didn't launch as anything amazing, but its grown on people over time.

This review felt pretty negative for a 9/10
ID: hz21n6uIt has a little something for everyone
ID: hz2xs1vIt really makes you feel like you’re a Gran Turismo 7.
ID: hz1l2tsSounds like ign
ID: hz1hb2kAgree with this, read more like a 7.5/8
ID: hz1ilbr7.5 out of 8 sounds good though /s
ID: hz274335/7 with rice
ID: hz2dljgyea i agree, it sounded like the reviewer was not happy with a lot of fundamental things in the game, but had to call everything "weird" or "strange", instead of just plain bad. I have a feeling he was forced to give it a high score even though it sounds like he thought it was closer to a 7/10
ID: hz2n91mThe biggest thing it seems he criticized was the car selection (saying that a side mode didn't work for him like the music mode doesn't seem like a fundamental thing)
Fundamental would be the driving, the campaign, the visuals, and all those seem like they got high praise from the reviewer.

I think super GTs review was better
ID: hz1yp7oThis is his super bowl. You can hear the joy in his voice during the review for IGN reviewer #12 it's just another game
ID: hz23wegfor IGN review #12 it’s just another game
You could maybe argue that to an extent but Luke Reilly is IGNs racing guy, as you can see by his review history. One of my go to guys for racing games because he seems very passionate about them and his opinions are generally align with mine as a racing fan too.
ID: hz3z2jhLuke Reilly literally only reviews racing games basically lmao
-
Blows my mind how they can review the game and not have a 4K video of it.
ID: hz1h90gUpload might take a while.
ID: hz1nbqdWhy? Other reviewers have 4K uploaded right away.
-
Really disappointed with the MTX. Doesn’t sound like they’re purely cosmetic either, as practically any upgrade can be purchased with real currency.
ID: hz3fmr5Why? Just don’t utilize the option to pay cash for upgrades.
ID: hz2nr0uThis is pretty insane to be too. Specially under playstation who's games never came close on doing something like this (right, I mean feel free to correct me if I'm wrong
ID: hz455qtThere was a time during the PS4 lifecycle where Sony published some Free2play games that were full of mtx. What's worse is that some of those games came off like standard mobile garbage, like Guns Up. They also have the Show which sells stubs. Plus games like Uncharted multiplayer that had a bunch of random mtx. Now sure how GT7 compares to any of these though.
-
Lost me at high upgrade costs + micro transactions for in game money.
ID: hz468ioIs the game F2P then?
-
Not as impressive as I thought it was going to be. I’ll hold off on this.
ID: hz1ku6wHaven't had the chance to watch as at work
Graphics department you mean or content?
ID: hz1nfigNot much different then GT Sport. Graphics are nice but not jaw dropping. Gameplay isn’t as innovative as I had hoped. Just seems like more of the same in a more pretty wrapper.
-
Turned on my TV to watch this and noticed they don’t even upload at 1080 60. That’s pretty dumb.
-
Did I understand correctly that you always have rolling starts and you’re starting last? That’s a big nope for me - the reviewer worded it very well, saying it becomes more of a chase than a race in that case
ID: hz3v14eUnfortunately that’s been a thorn in GT’s single-player side for years now, an AI slider and grid starts would be very welcomed for GT mode. They can make fast AI, they just choose not to. In custom races, you can set your grid position and whether it’s a grid start or rolling start. Otherwise, I’m really looking forward to it.

Did you forget Days Gone?
