One of the underappreciated aspects of such big models is that you don't need to figure out crazy ways to add shadow. They are so damn big that the ambient lighting shades them substantially on its own. Yeah, there's more little details to hit like nuts and bolts, but none of that weird xenital crap needs to happen. I feel like it ultimately requires less expertise to make look half decent.
