Take this with a grain of salt. This came from a Jurassic World Dominion leak. This would line up with the release of the movie being pushed back and the fact that Frontier says they’ll be announcing news soon.
-
Can't wait to admire this, buy it, and add it to my backlog then never play.
ID: gq24rpqID: gq2b3vdIt’s definitely a game that can’t be played straight until the end. I randomly play it in 2 month bursts.
ID: gq301nqWait until they release it with all DLC included. That's what I should have done for JWE.
-
I remember being so hyped for the first, only to be horribly let down with what was given which was rather unexpected considering Frontiers previous games were all great as well as PZ afterwards which was great, so im really not that interested in JWE2.
HOWEVER the first game was a massive sales success if memory serves correctly, so i dont doubt a new one is coming eventually so this might be legit.
ID: gq2b5lnThey’ve improved it a lot, so hopefully they keep adding on to that in the sequel.
ID: gq3de6iIf you were excited for JWE but disappointed then you should check out Prehistoric Kingdom (If you haven't already), they're releasing alpha on the 19th March and early access at some point during Q2 if all goes ahead as planned. They are going to be Planet Zoo but with dinosaurs and other prehistoric creastures that are as anatomically correct as possible. It looks really cool!
ID: gq2lvokWhat if the sequel is more like Planet Zoo? Trust me I was disappointed with JWE as well but from the leaks I read a year ago it sounds like JWE 2 will be much better
ID: gq3r89jThe reason for this is pretty obvious. JWE was designed for consoles too. Which is why I set my expectations appropriately. However, Frontier did release a console port of Planet Coaster which is a typical PC management game. I wonder how the game plays on console. Do not expect JWE 2 to be like PZ.

I know this is entirely wishful thinking, but if this turns out to be true then I hope they introduce marine life in this game. At the very least a Mosasaur, since there's one in the Jurassic World films, even if it is very oversized.
ID: gq2aw9pAccording to very credible leaks JWE 2 will be a much better game and yes Marine Reptiles will be included

For some reason I absolutely loved Evolution, when games like Planet Zoo just didn’t do it for me. Idk, I just think they really nailed the animations and detail of the creatures and buildings even if the variety was limited. Everything was just intuitive to me and really immersive I guess. Would be excited to see how they can improve a sequel, I’d hope for more building diversity + creature behaviors.
-
Well, first time im actually looking forward for a Microsoft event...even though it's not even their game lol.
-
Jurassic Park Genesis was one of my favorite games back in the day, and i was really stoked about JWE, but i ended up never buying it. I might check this sequel thought.
ID: gq3q5yrHonestly you didn't really miss out on anything, it's a really shallow game. Barely any customisation and the dinosaurs are just boring shells of what they could be. I loved Operation Genesis too so Evolution was a massive disappointment, I hope JWE2 gets it right
-
Is it so much to ask for an open world survival action adventure set on Jurassic Park? 3rd or 1st person, let me explore the entire island like a far cry game with jeeps and the Ford Explorers. Go in the maintenance tunnels to find rare loot and restore power to different grids, herd herbivores back into their pens, tranq carnivores, etc. Maybe set it between the events of the JP and JW, like you're part of the team sent to get things under control so they can come in and start building the new park. The endgame is opening the park to the public and then you get to explore freely and check out the attractions and still venture to the wild parts of the island when you want excitement.
-
Really hope it's a massive improvement over the first.
-
I really want to see natural dinosaur breeding! Male dinosaurs and baby dinosaurs would be great! Of course it would be great to see improvements in A.I and marine animals introduction
-
I enjoyed the first game but the formula grew stale by the 3rd island. I think they knew they had a shallow game which is why you kept starting over on new islands. The next one needs a lot more detail and things you can manage.
-
This scarily lines up with the rumored Microsoft Event incoming. I will be watching for this with a grain of salt.
Although I rather play the Jurassic Park Zoo game on the Gameboy Advance.
ID: gq2age5If JWE 2 is more like Planet Zoo it'll be a much better game than even JPOG
ID: gq6zzyrDo we have a rough idea of when this event is?
-
Games like this suck hours of my life away with very little effort. I lost days to Surviving Mars
-
I would really like these guys to be working on a Viva Pinata game for Microsoft....
-
Where is this leak from
ID: gq2m2764chan but another leak from 2 years ago was from 4chan and ended up being correct cause it detailed alot of JWEs content. According to that leak we're getting JWE 2
-
I'm still waiting for a physical copy of complete edition for any console.
-
Looking forward to this, have the first with all the dlc and still enjoy creating parks!
-
I'd like to see the full JWD leak.
-
Loved playing the first, but hard to see what they can add to the second to make it new/different. New dino's alone won't do.
-
A lot of you in here sound pretty disappointed with the first. The devs behind this game are well known to make sim/management games that have great aesthetic customizability but have the depth of a puddle in terms on management.
I recommend you guys check out
It looks pretty amazing from the trailer.
-
Let me be the dinosaurs and then I'll be interested
-
I just want Planet Zoo with dinosaurs.
I don't need any stupid scenarios or "crisis management simulator" like the first one is.
EDIT: Just checked out Prehistoric Kingdom mentioned in this thread...I'll be keeping an eye on that one.
-
I kind of hated the first game, that to have a good rating I had to sacrifice every aesthetic of the park aka near every Dino exhibit there would be to be a bowling alley and a burger joint and viewing platforms etc
ID: gq33hjzI definitely didn't hate it but there was a severe lack of depth.
The upcoming game Prehistoric Kingdom seems a bit better but we'll see once it releases.

I am an absolutely massive Jurassic Park fan. Bought the first one day 1, and played about 8 hours of it before literally never touching it ever again. Looking forward to doing the exact same thing once again.
