- There's a squearenix direct next week put your predictions in the comments
-
With the exception of Balan, the listed games are all from SE's western developers. I wouldn't get my hopes up for any JRPG news out of this whatsoever.

It's dedicated to their western side with Life is Strange at the top billing.
Chances for an SE Japanese announcement is really low. Really looking forward to Babylon's Fall though.
-
It will be primarily focused around Life is Strange with a bunch of other updates thrown in for padding that would otherwise be the sort of thing they'd just post on twitter. It will mostly focus on their western studios, Balan aside, and there will be no JRPGs at all.
-
Hopefully something related to the Chrono franchise
ID: gqm4i2qshooting straight for the stars, huh?
-
All I want is a Final Fantasy XIII trilogy port
ID: gqmkomfI'd like this too. My 360 no longer reads discs, and my graphics card on my computer isn't good enough for FFXIII. I'd like to play it sometime.
-
Maybe a re-release of Star Ocean: Second Evolution...
ID: gqlwbaxThis is my prediction too. The event looks like it's mostly western devs, but it is weird that they did a Switch release for only the 1st Star Ocean game. The 2nd one is better, more beloved, and also has a PSP port to work off of. I think Star Ocean 2 gets a little 90 second trailer spot.
Any sort of major JRPG news would be at either a platform holder event or a Japanese event.
-
They literally say on the tweet which titles will come. It's clearly focused in the western side for this presentation.
-
Dragon quest anniversary this year?
-
More SaGa and Mana remasters/ports.
ID: gqm0f1rThere are more saga games left to port?
-
FF7R for PC
ID: gqm38yiIts all I want.
-
Final Fantasy Tactics 2
Just let me dream, okay?
ID: gqm4ko5no, Dreams isn't being shown either, sorry.
-
TWEWY updates for the anime and sequel
-
I mean it's literally spelled out in the poster. Doesn't look like there's anything jrpg related it's more stuff they publish rather than make in-house. Why they're still trying to push avengers is beyond me considering how badly that thing tanked. I predict the annoying part of the ff fanbase to riot cause there's no ff news. Then I expect them to riot again when there is news down the line cause "ree shitty action game instead of my GLORIOUS ATB" oh and a dose of "FF7R is TRASH"

Square Enix will announce their Summer of Adventure on the 21st anniversary of the last one, featuring veterans Legend of Mana and a remaster of Chrono Cross, as well as some of the items listed in the flier (Tomb Raider, Just Cause).
-
Something to do with the Forever Entertainment deal.
-
Something Chrono Trigger, even just being ported to Switch. Final Fantasy Tactics collection.
-
My prediction is that the FF sub will go nuts complaining there’s no FF news despite this clearly not being aimed anywhere near that
-
Hopefully FF7R for PC ...
-
From a glance at their graphic, it doesn't look like there's anything on the JRPG front.
-
Mobile ports of all the estopolis games?
-
A prequel to Final Fantasy 7 that takes place thousands of years in the past, and it's a browser game full of microtransactions playable only in Japan.
It is about a war between the Cetra and a never-before mentioned other faction that originates from Jenova (they arrived shortly before Jenova herself reached the planet). This new faction will be central to the franchise going forward.
-
One in a zillion, DQ X to the west.
More than likely FF 7 remake part 2 at full price with 3 more coming to juice the kids who don't know any better.
ID: gqls8t2nintendo publishes dragon quest outside japan, so that wouldn't be announced here anyway.
-
A good remaster or switch port. Anything jrpgish

yeah, my only hope here is to hear Balan get a huge delay to try and put some actual game into it. But talking about it a week before release at an event like this makes that doubtful.
Also, maybe some Avengers roadmap so fans can stop complaining that the game is dead.
