So, consensus.. not worth 10 bucks if you already own it?
ID: gsbxt2aID: gschy61It's only worth it if you have a tv/display that supports 1080p at 120hz. Other than that, the haptic feedback is not good. There is a trigger effect for doing reverts(why???) and the audio sounds less clear.
ID: gscim8yGotcha. Yeah I've got a great 4K TV, but only 60 FPS. I was more interested in haptics but everyone said it sucks so.. that's too bad.
It's also not necessarily a visual powerhouse.

ID: gsbaoccIt’s harder at first in one campaign because you unlock stats a lot slower. You could have Ollie, hang time, rail balance and speed maxed after like 2-3 levels on the originals since you bought stats with objective cash.
After that then you’ll probably be smooth sailing except for some of the gap chain challenges which are actually tough.

I own the deluxe edition on PS4 which I was under the impression was a free upgrade, but the store wants to charge me 10 dollars. Is this a store glitch or was I under the wrong impression.

got the PS4 disc version but have a digital PS5... don't think I can have the free upgrade, any advice?
ID: gsbc51kIf you still have the PS4, you should stick to playing it on there. I don't think it's worth paying full price for the digital PS5 version unless you can find someone to buy the game off of you.

Fuck this game and fuck activision. $100 collector’s edition that includes digital deluxe content code and those assholes still want more money.

ID: gscep8wNot that it’s really your business but the game was a gift from a relative who remembered playing the original games when we were children. They know I like collecting things and thought the deck would be a neat wall decoration for my gaming room.
Am I being petty that I don’t get an upgrade for a game that was gifted to me for free? Absolutely.
Does that make activision’s actions less scummy? Not at all.

How does this compare to the Skate games? Was a huge fan of those and I’ve heard tony hawk is really good, but seems much more arcadey

THPS 1-4 are all arcadey 90's/early 2000's games

ID: gsbq9v7This game is about doing the most unbelievable shit you could ever imagine on a skateboard. You could do some crazy stuff in skate, but that game tried to keep the trick lines somewhat believable.
ID: gsayodsThe skating in THPS is extremely unrealistic and over-the-top. You'll routinely pull off tricks and combos that no human could ever hope to achieve in real life -- your character might as well have superpowers. It's much more fast-paced than the Skate games (which I also like). It's not open-world, there are distinct levels to skate around in, but there's still some exploration as the levels are reasonably big and have hidden areas, collectibles, etc.

The annoying thing is If actually pay them for a decent update to CTR, it needs it way more than this.

i bought the standard edition on ps4, and I don't mind forking up $10 for some noticeable improvements. can anybody tell me if it's worth it?
ID: gsbbsp0I upgraded and to be honest the PS4 version on the PS5 was already great because of the SSD. Loading times are relatively the same. The added difference is now the native 4k which is nice and the 3D audio which does sound better on headphones. Haptic feedbacks are okay but nothing very special.

Don't bother. Dualsense is lazy probably the worst implementation I've seen so far. Ps4 version still superior because it's my drinking game of choice and I can play dualsense and dualshock 4 instead of having to go out and buy another ps5 controller for this version

ID: gsb1n73Agreed. I only got the upgrade to try out what I assume would be the awesome haptic feedback, a skating game is so well suited to it.
But yeah, they are nothing special. I was expecting grinding rails to feel super realistic, but it barely vibrates.
Astro's Playroom really spoilt me.

If you want the Skeleton character and a few more skins then it's not the worst 10$ you could spend. If you really play this game a lot then it's totally worth it.
