- Picture from my trip to Japan. This is Kabukicho, the place where Yakuza games take place
-
Did you hear someone hiding in a traffic cone say "kiriu-chan!"

Nice. Be careful though, the chance of random チンピラ street punks wanting to pick a fight with you for no good reason increases by 10,000% while you're there.
ID: gspkuknIt's okay, he can just throw some yen in the air

What's always amazing to me, is how few cars I see in Japan's major cities. It's still a lot, but compare to NYC, and it's a small fraction.
ID: gsp3jo8In these areas at night Cars Are not allowed access unless you have a business there. Kabukicho can be fun if you know the right places.
ID: gsqsoxdBecause other cities actually invest in public transportation, infrastructure and public services are actually reliable.
ID: gsqwlo4NYC has a superb public transportation if you compare it to other US cities. I know it is still leagues away from asian and european cities, but it is not as bad.

Careful with Mr. Libido
ID: gsqbsgaToo late

Did you get bamboozled

How many people came up and wanted to fight you for no reason?

I really want to visit Japan at least once. 2020 was supposed to be my year where i would start traveling the world. Only for a pandemic to show its ugly face.
Still remember vividly how i came into contact with the yakuza franchise. Saw a review of yakuza 3. Where kazuma was beating the living shit out of thugs with a bike. Instantly god sold on the game. And what did i get in return?
Some of the most unique side quests i've ever experienced in a video game. Satisfying combat, interesting story and characters. And each game you can get at least 100 hours.
ID: gsp27m3I personally went there just because I am huge fan of the game. I of course love the Japanese culture as well but I went the primary because of Yakuza. I hope after covid you can there some day, it's really worth it
ID: gsqjqz7I went to Japan right before Covid-19 and it was an incredible experience. I stayed in Tokyo but also went to Osaka and Kyoto. I can’t recommend Japan enough. Is really a great country!

I think I see Yorozuya in the distance.
-
saw any yakuza?
-
This place must look awesome at night
-
Are there any real "soaplands "?
ID: gspxcfnYes. They have these pink buildings called "Free information centers" which recommend you various "activities" that suit your "tastes". I went here about two years ago. Yakuza nailed it, Osaka's Dotenburii in Zero too also completely nailed.
Those giant ads of over the top pretty men and women around town are super accurate and represent host and hostess clubs roster.
ID: gsqueq3What kind of activities?
ID: gsq7ktrSoaplands are very real.
No Gaijin allowed, though. Usually.

This looks so real!
-
Damn I just started Kiwami 1 too
-
Stay classy Kamourocho, stay classy....
-
For a minute I couldn't figure out what you meant by, "Yakuza games". I thought you were talking about games that Yakuza play, like "Reindeer games" in the song Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
-
But... where are all the 40 year old virgins? Do they keep their hentai body pillows inside or something?
-
Just another dead end.
-
ohisashiburi ne kiryu chan!
-
Run into any adult babies?
-
Watch that manhole
-
