I was making the rounds this morning and noticed that ASRock (via JZ Electronic's blog, naturally) has posted some beta BIOS revisions marked as being built upon AGESA 1.2.0.1 Patch A, and new as of April 1st in some cases.
"Improve USB Compatibility" is listed as the only notable change, but it's possible there may be some other minor changes rolled in. I have not updated my own X570 Taichi yet, but have also not personally experienced any USB problems. YMMV, etc.

Improve USB compatibility"JZ Vorab" just designates that it is an advance hosted file, ahead of ASRock's primary website being updated. It's an ASRock thing. I've honestly stopped asking why at this point.
These usually make their way onto the official ASRock support pages for each model within a few days or so if that's the preferred route for obtaining them.

"Vorab" is a german word and in this context should mean preview/beta release.
ID: gt1c39fID: gt1jd1iYeah I know but isn't Asrock a Taiwanese company?
ID: gt1jpphJZ Electronics, the company from whose website the UEFI is loaded, is a german computer hardware vendor.
-
hmm.. i wonder when MSI will come out with theirs..
-
ASRock should skip AGESA 1.2.0.1A and just go directly to 1.2.0.2 since that's a much more important patch as it supposedly fixes the USB/port issues with Ryzen 5000 CPUs
I can't even use my Arduino on my desktop because of the USB instability
ID: gt1jumlThe USB fix in particular has been backported to 1.2.0.1A, to speed up the rollout.
ID: gt1knb4I didn't know that, I'll be updating to it as soon as it's released

The last x470 Taichi bios was 8th December 2020 agesa 1.1.0.0.
Support is awful and has been through out the boards life.
Which is why I'll never touch an Asrock board again.
ID: gt1l5ouIndeed, as a X470 Taichi owner, never, never again another Asrock motherboard. The last BIOS is pure shit and can't even handle my RAMs at 3200mhz.
ID: gt1uuobThis is strange considering out of literally every branded board... the asrock boards are the only ones to not only work out of the box flawlessly every time, but the only ones even when the first generation ryzens launched, to actually post and run flawlessly with 3200mhz or greater.
Though frankly i don't understand why people insist on getting the most expensive boards from any of the brands as they are most likely to have the greatest problems, Why do people do this? There is no benefit.
ID: gt2e4x4I have an X470 Taichi Ultimate and have no trouble. Ram at 3600 CL14 (OC from CL16), Resizable Bar works beautifully. I still wish I could get new stuff.
-
Good to see. My B550 Taichi hasn't had USB issues either, so I'll wait until it's stable.
-
ill probably try this. i have the x570 pgx and ive not been able to get ram xmp working on any bios since 3.40
-
Great now can you fix the onboard debug led on the x470 bios to actually read the temp

Waiting for this to be released for B450
