I recently got into this series and I really enjoy it. I’ve finished RE2 remake and RE7. RE8 looks good so I’ll get it but I should play any of the other ones before that one?

I just ordered res3 remake to get in the mood. I hope I won't be disappointed... Loved res2 remake, and res7 was nice.

Since Chris will be a important character I would recommend you to play the first RE (2002 version), it’s his first contact with BOWs (and also introduces Jill). But I guess only RE7 will be important for RE8 since Ethan and Mia are completely new

RE4 is the one other that I consider to be essential. There’s also the first game which is great but differs in gameplay and pacing to RE2R and RE7. So probably RE4, RE1R and maybe RE3R, which I think is pretty bad but other people seem to like it at least somewhat so it’s probable worth a try.

I was advised to play all games, so 1,5 and 6 have Chris in it, and RE3R is always a good time, and 8 takes inspiration from 4.

I’m guessing you got it on discount so it’s definitely worth it the game itself is good it’s just shorter then most would expect personally I’d say it has some of my favorite performances especially my boy Carlos
