- There is a strong possibility that the PS4 to PS5 upgrade will not be available for the launch of TERMINATOR: RESISTANCE ENHANCED on April 30th
-
I'm sure the six people that pre-ordered this will be disappointed
ID: gtolq8sID: gtoovq8It's an ok game overall but I would say that its the best terminator game ever made.
-
For franchise fans like me it was a nice filler game that I really enjoyed. Would definitely play it again if a free next-gen patch hits the street. It is not spectacular nor innovative but the atmosphere is not bad.
-
The game is aight. Platinumed it a few months ago. It’s a pretty solid fps with basic progression and loot systems. I’d give it a solid 6/10 for the casual gamer, but if you’re a Terminator fan you can add a score or two.
It’s really a love letter to the franchise and it’s basically everything you can ask for in a Terminator game. With some higher production values and some polish it would’ve been even better but I’d still recommend it to any fans of the franchise.

Damn, I had this as my prediction as a potential PS+ game for May!
ID: gtobs3uIt probably will be one soon
ID: gtod1w4Yeah most likely, just with the release date being close to the beginning of May it seems like they would do the same as they did with Control and offer both PS4 and PS5 versions...could be why it is delayed on Sony’s side?
-
I would blink my eyes if I had any.
I forgot about this game, honestly. It was there, and then it stopped appearing on my ads.
ID: gto3x8mI have never seen this game before o.O
ID: gto7culIt’s okay. A typical FPS with an mediocre story, some budget RPG elements (Level ups, skill tree, dialogue/ romance options ) easy platinum. You can burn through the whole thing in less than 10 hours.
Definitely a buy it on sale game.
ID: gto9b8jI liked it a lot for what it was.
ID: gto8norI'm not surprised, publishers instagram has like 500 followers. Game is surprisingly fun, fans should give a go for sure.
-
Eh not a big deal for me. Platinumed the PS4 version last year. Will pop it back in when PS5 version finally releases.
-
I remember clowning smart delivery for needing a marketing term for this. Now I’m the clown
ID: gtqsi99What?
-
Oh no...
ID: gto8qw4Anyway..

This game is a love letter to the first 2 Terminator movies. A nice game to Platinum by the way. It's not the greatest fps shooter in the world, but good fun nonetheless. Great story if you are into the Terminator lore. Reminded me of the story structure of the Darkness on ps3.
This is the best Terminator game the fans could get. God knows we deserve it with al the shitty sequals after T2.
ID: gtqt6icThe gameplay looked super boring and fighting the small tanky robot and the fying robots over and over again looked very boring and the enemy design very forced. Like hey we need canon fodder enemies to lets have some odd smaller enemies. Instead of a mindless shooter a proper terminator game would have been a survival game with few enemies but very strong ones. Like in the first two movies „flashbacks“.

I actually pre-ordered the ps5 version so are you saying it will be delayed?
ID: gtp4nc7Downvote me for no reason you twats.
ID: gtp8h35Someone (not me) probably downvoted you for not reading the article.
-
That's fine. I'll just wait until its free on PS Plus instead
Don't know why they wouldn't just delay the game until everythings sorted with Sony considering the fetish devs have with delaying games nowadays
ID: gtoeyu7Devs don’t have a fetish for delaying games - it’s because of covid most of the time now and also for additional polish or other reasons.
A lot of stuff can go wrong, especially when trying to develop a PS5 version of a PS4 game. Take this tweet from Remedy as an example - they could have delayed further and got the importing of saves fixed but they didn’t - if you read the replies he says it’s not a trivial thing to achieve and that small dev teams need to make tough choices so they focused on performance and fidelity over save games. Delays are bad but they aren’t fetishists.
Also nobody wants another Cyberpunk debacle again!
ID: gtpeq8oCovid is a bs excuse for devs who had development issues for ages way before covid and even publishers like EA and even Sony have said covid hasn't affected game development as much as people think it has.
"Also nobody wants another Cyberpunk debacle again!"
Which was delayed for over a year with multiple delays. Great example /s

So there IS gonna be an upgrade then? I thought we had no choice but to re buy
-
I heard the game is actually pretty good but they basically didn’t even market it at all.
-
There is a VERY strong probability I don't even consider it now.
-
Bought it brand new for about £11, have left it on my shelf ready for whenever the update drops.
-
I love terminator so this average game is above average for me and look forward to replaying.
-
Lol is anyone worried about this?
-
OP, why didn't you add this critical statement at the end of the thread title?
"... there is a strong possibility that the PS4 to PS5 upgrade will not be available for the launch of TERMINATOR: RESISTANCE ENHANCED on April 30th and will follow a short time later. "
You're creating unnecessary concern. Maybe the mods will fix it.
-
Damn I thought this was that third person Terminator game that came out a while back
Edit: Terminator: Redemption... Much older than I though
-
I must say if Sony is the reason free upgrades won’t happen I think I won’t be buying many games on ps anymore
-
THEN WHY EVEN LAUNCH IT? Makes no sense, since this is supposed to be about the PS5 version?
ID: gtodqf9It basically boils down to this: if you have the PS4 version, and have a PS5, you might not be able to get the upgrade at launch. But if you own a PS5, and you buy the digital (if there is one)/physical version, you'll be fine.
ID: gtowsvpEvery physical game for PS4/5 is required to have a digital counterpart. If anything, they would cancel the physical release of a small low-budget game like this.
-
I literally bought this game because they promised the free update at launch. Then they delayed it and now this.

Which is a shame because the game was quite good.
(Not the pre-ordering part, just the general playing part)
