ID: gvqt0eiThe environments and architecture found in XIII have so much variety, more so than any other FF. I don't even know how to describe the art style other than "vibrantly colorful."
I even had this XIII-inspired piece by an artist I like blown up and printed onto a huge bordered canvas for my living room and it looks beautiful.

I remember seeing the trailer for XIII play in a store for the first time as a kid. I thought it was a movie until I saw it on shelves at GameStop.

ID: gvqfmtuYeah idk when but I'd imagine they'll have all three soon since they keep doing it all out of order and xii was more than a month ago (I think). Can't remember if they said x and x-2 would be added but the original press release months ago said it would be "sometime in 2021".

Loved everything about XIII except the fact that XII, XIV, XV all had open world combat and XIII brought you to a separate arena, taking way more time to get to the battle and doing the fight. I get it, it felt like harkening back to YE OLDE FF but still, that was my one issue. Story, world, music, characters, all fantastic. The sequels? Idk, but 2 had Origa.

Thnx for sharing some FF XIII love. People shit way too much on this game. Sure it was pretty linear until one reaches Pulse, but the story and lore are great and I really love the characters.

ID: gvrirnzI mean, it was still really linear once you hit Pulse. The fact that the hallway now had a bunch of fetch quests with no stories did no grow the world at all.
Visually, however, XIII has always been incredible. Even leaving aside the excellent graphical fidelity, the design was amazing across the board. Even the leveling screen (Crystarium?) was gorgeous.

XIII was an incredibly beautiful game. Too bad it is boring and the characters didn't do it for me. But its graphics were ahead of its time.

I only like one character (Snow), and the story was so convoluted that I had to look it up on the FF wiki to understand it after I beat the game, but I still listen to its super chill soundtrack.

Especially when you put a bunch of different lighting over it. That totally isn't obscuring what the model looks like at all.

I haven’t played the game. Played a little of the beginning when it first came out. Didn’t like it. I want to give it another chance. The graphics look great. Waiting for steam sale for it and other FF games.

The main character models look amazing even by today's standards, FFXIII was a pretty looking day back in the day, now I have been playing the game on my 360 and I'm surprised by how good the game looks

The main cast character models are great, unfortunately the NPC models in XIII and its sequels are some of the worst in the series.

They haven't aged well if someone modifies them. The games still look fine but this is disingenuous if not outright lying.
