Inventory Restoration for Group B characters is now underway and will complete over the next day or so.
As a reminder, here is what you can expect to happen:
Group B Restoration: Up to 20 legendary items that were in your inventory. Please see the further details section* for more info here.
Who will benefit from this Restoration? Players in both Group B and C who "lost" a legendary item up until 20 April 2021. Group B are characters that lost gear but were still playable. Players may have continued playing on these characters since the wipe. Group C are essentially all other players in the Outriders gaming population who did not encounter an inventory wipe.IMPORTANT REMINDER: As we are unable to conclusively distinguish Group B from Group C players, both Group B and Group C will benefit from the Restoration. Therefore, even if you did NOT encounter an inventory wipe, you may well receive up to 20 God Rolled Legendary Items that you may have previously lost to a bug or sold to a vendor (Dismantled items will not be restored as our analytics are able to conclusively prove that they were not lost to the bug).
The above explains where the additional God Rolled Legendary Items come from that you may find in your inventory following our restoration process today. These items can be freely sold, scrapped or used.

Hello everyone,
Character and Inventory Restoration for Group A characters is now underway.
Group A characters are those characters who encountered a wipe and are no longer able to login at this point in time (Encounter a "Couldn't Connect to Server" error).
Please check your affected characters throughout the day also making sure to log out and in again if you are in game at the time. If your character has not yet been restored, please be patient a little while longer as it may take a little time for the process to propagate across all affected characters.
As a reminder, here is what you can expect to happen:
Group A Restoration: All items, regardless of rarity, that were equipped at the time of your inventory wipe will be restored. All legendary items that were in your inventory. For non-Legendary items: 20 previously acquired items that were in your inventory, with first prioritization based on rarity (descending from Epic rarity) and second prioritization based on date acquired. All fully completed Accolades will be restored if you previously reached the final tier of said Accolade. Interim tiers and progress towards any tier of an Accolade cannot be recovered.Please keep in mind that we may not able to restore every single lost item with 100% accuracy, but we are doing our best to make sure the most valuable items are accounted for.
If your inventory is already full, restored items will be held server side until there is space in your inventory and you have logged out and back in again.
Once we are happy with Group A restorations, we will trigger restorations for Group B. Group B players are those players who lost items but were able to continue playing.

Please note that if you are part of this Group A restoration, your non-affected characters may receive up to 20 Legendary items that they previously sold back in their inventory. These items will be god-rolled. These items can be freely sold, scrapped or used.
Finally, we would like to thank you for patience and support while we worked hard to bring this restoration about. While it has taken longer than initially anticipated or planned, we never once wavered from our commitment to support those players who were affected.
We will soon be turning our attention to the community appreciation packs that were previously announced. We are also currently gathering info on the damage mitigation issue here and are furthermore continuing to investigate reported multiplayer connection issues.

No, scrapped items are not considered in this case. Sold as in vendor'd.

All players who obtained items during the restoration have been tagged in our analytics.
So if they are, in any way, affecting the game-play metrics that we review to base our decisions on, we should be able to filter them out to get a true view of how the playing population with normally obtained...

I have no issue with players affected getting some god-rolled gear and one off two tier III mods on their gear. What my concern is, with this out in the wild in the player population will this affect future balancing? Because if nerfs happen as a direct result of this, honestly, I’m not going to be ok with that. My sincere hope is that for future balancing PCF is keeping this in mind so that players without this one off gear do not have skills/mods further nerfed as a result of PCF restoring affected players.

Thank you thank you thank you I’m so so glad to have my character back plus the gear I had already attained with it ❤️ all that’s needed now is what’s to come and for the game to be stabilised with no nerfs we as a community hate nerfs.

So happy to see this finally pop up. While I never had the displeasure of dealing with an inventory wipe, I'm ecstatic this process is finally happening for those that were affected. This will hopefully help stem the tide of bitterness across the community. It took longer than anybody would like, but it's here!

Looks like i'm back! Ass ton of dupes in my inventory tho.
I swear my skills on my items are different. Not that they are back to default, but the combination on them is different.

I got a bunch of dupes too, but my High Roller (the only item I even remember having because I've been looooonging for its return) is nowhere to be found. Not on other toons either. I did, however, receive 2 maxed out Deathshields. Niiiiice.
But back to my High Roller, I need that mod! Where'd it go? *sadface*

I did
So since this has happened, I am getting nothing but anticheat when i try to start the game on steam. Cannot even load to a character screen at least before this i could play 1 of my 4 characters since that was the only one not wiped...... I have tried uninstall and reinstall still nothing...
This happens randomly to many games that use EasyAntiCheat. Go to the EasyAntiCheat folder in your program files and delete the .sys file. It'll load ride up after

Got my character back... I was getting carried to T15 two times we finished Gold and I was about to collect the loot my game crashed... My expedition buddies has gone to sleep so maybe we'll try again tomorrow...

I just got a shit ton of legendaries after turning off the game/back on.
Just wanted to clarify. I'm in Group C as I didn't lose anything and I could keep playing my character, and this post says that since you can't distinguish players in Groups B and C, Group C will also benefit from the restoration. However when I viewed the further details linked, it says there is no restoration required for Group C. So which is it? Should we in Group C expect anything? I don't mind if we don't get anything, but it definitely would be nice lol

So out of sheer curiosity, I logged in to see what as a group C I have...
Well lets put it this way. I now have god rolled Cannonball sets (yes sets) and a few weapons. So I thought 'Huh.. ok.... lets try this stuff out in the expeditions. Maybe having higher rolled stuff will help.'
*gets one shot from 1/2 full shields and full health by a flying bug thing* Never mind :S
Im glad everyone got there stuff back. It's also nice to see so many people getting crazy loot out of it. Here's what I don't understand and don't think is fair.
How is it that all these other people are getting crazy legendaries that didn't get affected by this yet the rest of us get absolutely nothing? Go watch DPJ video on YouTube. He openly admits he didn't get a wipe yet still gets 20 godroll legendaries?
Just because we didn't take advantage of the exploits and because we didn't we couldn't get super high tier to have legendaries to sell we hey nothing? So those of us that didn't cheat the game ste punished while the ones that took advantage of exploits are rewarded? Im sorry, but that doesn't seem very fair to the rest of us. Please don't misunderstand me, the people that actually got character wipes should be rewarded. It's the fact that everyone else gets free legendaries for exploiting the game and getting so many legendaries they had extra to delete. As a reward they not only get more legendaries but crazy godroll legendaries as well. Meanwhile those of us that didn't cheat the game, and by not cheating had a much much harder time progressing get shafted.
You guys do realize that we have been through the ringer as well. Not only did we play fair as to not get our account marked. We had a much harder time progressing because if it. We have dealt with the same disconnects, lag, login issues, mods not working, armor mitigation issues, being one shotted, lousy connection to server or blue screen in the final mission of an expedition (which btw was yet another potential lost legendary, well just never know because we recieved 0 loot). The point is, for playing fair and not having enough legendaries to sell we get nothing while others that didn't even recieve a wipe are rewarded.
Thank you pcf, just feel like once again allot of us got royally screwed once again. And yes I did check both my characters. As expected, nothing.

I'm dressed but not in the exact same stuff =[ but I got two items I can transfer from my wiped ct 14 to my ct 15 so... it's better than nothing
Epics had the wrong mods but that's a minor issue I guess.
I can't even get past the start game screen to check if my inventory has come back, anything to help with this, I've power cycled my console multiple times and still nothing
My game character was not wiped, but I'm glad this is going to be sorted so other major problems can be fixed too.
I realy hope that after this restoration devs will finally fix the most annoying crashes and game breaking bugs, like Return to lobby CTD (crash to desktop), Display menu CTD, Loading level stuck or CTD, inability to see Task Manager window to kill the game if it is stuck and forcing me to either log out of Window session or hard reset.
I had already placed the fact that I lost a pair of gloves and boots of legendary level before, but I was wondering if those will be replaced? I didn’t have a full inventory wipe, I believe the gloves were just cannon ball set gloves and I can’t remember the boots, however I would still like to get them back eventually.
Will smaller wipes be taken care of farther down the road?
I didn't see a mention of the login issues many are experiencing or is that being investigated along with the multiplayer issues cause multiplayer issues for me mean that we actually got into the game to play multiplayer. Please focus on that next before anything else
Something weird going on Xbox.
Got into the game, saw a few restored items - great. But then got kicked out to Xbox dashboard with "can't connect to servers" message. (Also you totally restored some of the items I dismantled. I had no characters bugged or locked out).
Power-cycled console, got back in - saw that my DLC Renegade Rifle became level 1 rusty gun... the words "hells rangers content pack" are missing on login screen too. I also lost all of the Renegade rifles I had in my inventory/stash. I can still access Inbox, however.
And now I can't get my AR back 🙁 It just refuses to see the DLC content. I already reinstalled the game and DLC separately.

I don't know if you'll even see this, but someone needs to address it. I believe I was put into group B or C because I got a random amount of things. I had a full wipe. I previously had a full lava lich set, I had a complete wipe bar my lava lich legs. I could not load the character as it kicked me. I still do not have all my stuff, instead I got some cannonball armour (more of an insult) and you didn't even fill my chest slot. It was completely empty. Help?!
Did they do something to the earthbound gear, my guns turned into common level 1s and some of my armour is just gone. The fix did the opposite to me
I've just logged into my pyro and lost my hellborn rangers assault rifle which has been replaced with a lvl 1 white! What is going on? I wasn't affected by this crap until now that I know of.
Quick question dont know where to direct this but ive been farming for deathshield for ages finally got it to drop looked at it on the ground, took a picture of it on the ground to brag to my friend and lost connection to the server, all the drop pod loot is gone including the deathshield, i know its just a gun but ive been farming quite a bit for it just wanted to know if this might count as lost loot aswell??
So...not sure if this is caused by the Item Restoration, but I noticed that my blue "Waistcloth of the Shaman Warlord" is now epic and has only 1 mod slot. I have tried restarting the game, equipping different items, re-equipping this item, and even modding it, but no luck. Although I am happy with the "Damage Absorber" mod in this slot, I am still missing out on potential power that the 2nd mod slot could provide. Is there any way to get the 2nd mod slot back?

I don’t know. It takes longer to farm a god-tier item than it did to get shit restored lol at this point I rather not have played and get a restoration of god-tiered items haha
