Great game, but not $40 CAD great. Half the price of a new AAA release is a bit much. Correction, a lot much.

ID: gxf922pYou must not have seen the price of this game second hand recently, $30 is slightly above average and considering it will be playable potentially forever on Xbox platforms and at least 10+ years on PlayStation you may not be willing to pay for it and there's nothing wrong with that but I'd hardly say its over priced.
ID: gxfb1gbIt's grossly overpriced for what it is, what it sells for "second hand" on retro consoles (Feels weird saying those are now retro consoles) doesn't matter. The game lasts for 8 - 12 hours of gameplay, MAYBE 20+ for a completionist.
The only changes:
Upscaled to 4K FPS increased
In no universe is a price of $30 reasonable for a game that old and without further improvements.

I never played Dark Alliance. Would you guys recommend it as a single player experience?
ID: gxe8z4gIMO this game is to action RPGs as Resident Evil 2 was to survival horror. Just know you’re playing something that came out in 2001 and set graphical expectations accordingly. That aside, it has a rich cast of enemies and locations, and the combat feels very weighty. I played this a couple years ago with a friend on GameCube and was actually surprised how well it held up. Expect to get around 8-10hrs of gameplay depending on your speed.

ID: gxegi7dHonestly probably not. I enjoyed the game when I was younger but there’s not much special about it. It’s a fun co-op play through though.

No online multiplayer, unfortunately. Hopefully that comes in a future update.

Even in the US, $30 for a 20-year-old game is too much. I'd love to play this one, but I'm holding off until it goes on sale for a deep discount.
