- Raytracing reflections and illumination in "Hood: Outlaws & Legends". (4K 60FPS)
-
Not a single ray traced feature. Those are SSR reflections : they disappear when the object is not dispalyed on screen like that tower. If it had ray traced reflections that tower's reflections won't disappear even if the tower itself is off screen.
ID: gxfqu9aID: gxfhzj1"Speaking in an interview with Wccftech, game director Andrew Willans confirmed that Hood: Outlaws and Legends will run at 60 FPS on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 and will also support ray-tracing. "
ID: gxfjnrlBut what are they using ray-tracing for? It may not be for reflections
ID: gxfs5m3Ray Tracing can be use for many things. Most are not reflections. This is very, very obviously SSR.
This might use RT for AO, or GI. We just need more info.
ID: gxfykpvWith that quote I only wanted to show that there are Raytracing features, not specially raytracing reflections.
Anyway thanks for pointing it out!

Looks boring
ID: gxfihnsThat's because i played a custom game without bots. Normally its 4vs4 pvpve

Looks pretty bad. With all these graphical improvements devs really need to improve the art direction in their games
ID: gxfirq7I think for 30€ it's pretty solid. Also the ps5 controller features are very well implemented and it runs smooth 60FPS
ID: gxfx55lYeah, people need to remember this is a budget game.
They don't have a AAA budget.

Is this game good?
I'm thinking to buy it.
ID: gxfic74If you're a fan of the genre you should definitely take a look at it. Its only 30 €. I have an pure gameplay video without commentary on my channel. Check it out if you want to know how the Multiplayer works.
Or search for some trailers were the devs explain the game mechanics.
ID: gxfpve4Thnx bro I will check it out 🙂
ID: gxfvbugThis is one of those games that really varies from user to user. I personally wouldn't recommend it until they have a few updates out and you have a friend or 3 to play it with. The controller base settings are abysmal, you start out at max sensitivity and it feels like a 2/10 or 3/10 in every other game and you can't raise it at all, and it has forced acceleration coupled with motion blur which is absolutely pointless. It has the ability to be fun, but quite a few broken things that limit that at the moment. The subreddit is toxic as hell due to this, because there are a billion posts about bugs and whatnot and another billion shaming anyone calling out bugs so I'd avoid that as well for the time being.

That title is here to remind you how bad most players are at understanding graphics tech, as what we are seeing here is very, VERY clearly not raytraced reflections, but SSR. It's almost a showcase of "situations where SSR shows its limits".
