Judgement is my favorite Yakuza game, tbh, at least in terms of the main story. I'm really excited for the sequel too, I did not expect to see it so soon.

Heh, I literally just finished writing up my translation of the Famitsu article over on

r/yakuzagames

before coming here to see Twinfinite already did it. ^_^' Anyway, couple of things that stood out to me:

Jin Kuwana, played by Koji Yamamoto is a handyman who knows everything there is to know about the Isezaki Ijincho district. He’s willing to take on any request for a fee

Kuwana sounds like a pretty intriguing character as a contrast/rival to Yagami. I expect he'll be tempting Yagami down some darker paths as the overall conflict of law vs justice plays out.

The city has been in a power vacuum after the disappearance of the Tojo Clan years ago. and Soma’s RK gang has already made a name for itself in the battle for control of the underworld. Soma himself used to be a member of the Tojo Clan and a candidate for leadership.

Soma is another character I'm very interested in seeing, especially with his actor being someone as talented as Tamaki. As I expected Lost Judgment is going into what happened after (Y7) the dissolution of the Tojo Clan and it seems the situation in Kamurocho still isn't resolved.

Akihiro Ehara, played by Ken Mitsuishi is used to be an active police officer, but he was caught red-handed for molesting a man on a train

It was mentioned in a prior interview Lost Judgment will have some very "sensitive themes" that caused disagreement among the staff, I assume the molestation aspect may be one of them. Chikan is always a big topic in Japan, just hope the game handles it well.

It's set in both Kamurocho and Ijincho like Yakuza 7.

I do not know if this is an unpopular opinion but the funniest part for me in yakuza games are the big mini games like business simulations or cabaret clubs and judgement did not have those. Please add atleast 2 detailed business mini games to the game Sega.

Since December I've played Yakuza LaD and then 0-6 and now I'm starting Judgement, it's become one of my favorite series of all time. I loved the direction they went with it, cant wait for the next one. Just let me buy stuff from vending machines again
