I am so glad/happy someone has learned from past experience. Why so many people still pre-order after all of the past lessons of games being rushed out unfinished/buggy/etc, is beyond my comprehension.
It seems the quote:
"There's a sucker born every minute"is still very apt.
-
Not to mention it's gonna cost 60 bucks, 70 for next gen
-
I've learnt my lesson after preordering a deluxe variant of Anthem. Mistakes were made.
-
This but with Elden Ring
-
I hate how people get so mad that a game isn’t released in perfect state…. Like people had the same reaction with skyrim. Big games have more potential for bugs… idk how people don’t get that still
-
Shut up
-
Whats the point of pre-ordering games when they’re all digital downloads?
-
I mean if you have EA play you can play the game for 10 hours on launch, and even get a 10% off the battlefield game.
This 10% off you pay a month subscription to the pass, and get to play 10 hours to see if you like it
-
Psh, I only buy games when they go into the super cheap category on Steam sales. $9.99 games for life!
-
Don’t preorder things anymore
preorders anyway
-
The last game I preordered was FF7R.
Fucking WORTH.
-
Oh my god anyone else get burned super hard by this with Anthem?
What amazing potential that game had.
-
Grafo is cringe omg
-
PRE-ORDERING AN ESTABLISHED IP ISN'T AS RISKY AS PRE-ORDERING A NEW IP
(Notice how all pre-order regret is from a new property)
-
It took cyberpunk to teach you that oof.
-
pre-order for in-game bonuses, refund if it's shit
life is simple
-
I can’t help but preorder games I know for sure I’m gonna play, and the preorder bonuses don’t help lol
-
It depends on the franchise. I've yet to be disappointed with my pre-orders.
-
If preordering gives free IRL swag like dogtags or something like they have in the past then I'm preordering. Sorry. I don't think preordering is a "shitty practice" at all. Under delivering what was promised at release is a shitty practice, but preordering is not.
-
Lots of people got +1 lvl experience the hard way with cypherbunk
-
I learned that lesson from fable 3.
-
The only good thing Cyberpunk did was to teach people not to preorder (including me... my first and only one)
-
I use to love pre-ordering games and getting those little bonus items. But then Fallout 76 happened and I don't want to pre-order again.
-
That and the gameplay trailer showed no gameplay.
-
Whoever pre-orders 2042 has clearly never played Battlefield V, which was the biggest quality drop-off being the follow-up to Battlefield 1
-
But it looks the same as like BF4/5. Just with robot dogs and gliding, neither of which would really enhance BF which already had parachuting off buildings (when they work).
People wanted Battlefield 2142-2. This looks like the industry standard "no we wanted a modern, grittier, brown/blue dust and filter over everything shooter that really makes us stand apart from every competitor and our previous titles that also currently does this".
Why even buy?
-
I mean, I might consider preordering Stalker 2, because I'm a huge fan and it's somewhat a niche product, to support the interest. Otherwise, who knows, it might not even happen, and I would very much want it to happen. Same goes for other non mainstream games. This is what preorder is supposed to be.
But preordering Battlefield? That's just stupid.
-
Why is preordering bad
-
There nothing wrong with pre-order, it just we lost trust in them with pro-order after history of broken and unfinished releases
-
Cus you could end up wasting your money on a shit game when you could've just waited a few days to see the reviews and gameplay
-
Looking at you Ford Bronco
-
But what about the new Farcry surely I can preorder that…
-
Yolo
-
Actually steam will refund you if you preorder. Also only way to get into beta is to have a preorder
-
My grandma refuses to pre-order games and I do too
-
I preordered Biomutant and was happy.
-
Oh, so when a bunch of us said we learned our lesson way before Cyberpunk everybody wanna be salty.
But now that Grafo says it, everybody wanna agree.
-
Why would you preorder a game. Ever. I really don’t care much about a game until I can start playing it. There’s a ton of upcoming games I’m dying to play but I can’t until they’re out and they seem good enough to buy. Until then, I’m not spending money on it?
-
Learned my lesson with Anthem. Never even got Cyberpunk thankfully
-
I’ll preorder Elden ring
-
I'm gonna preorder elden ring, fuck it, fromsoftware never failed me
-
Too late. I've learned nothing.
-
Okay but forza is allowed right. ...right?
-
I don't know man, SrGrafo is just so goddamn wholesome. He's just like one if those people that everyone likes and you wanna be friends with but so does everyone else. And you consider yourself not cool enough. Brings a smile to my face every time I read one if his stupid edits.
-
I love joining his streams bc he’s so chill. Just don’t mention Gabriella
-
It's my money, I can cancel it at anytime, and I don't know if I'll have the cash at launch to buy as I do now.
-
I mean there will be a beta and we all know what to expect from BF games.
-
Meanwhile here i am with yearly pro subscription. Am i a good guy or bad guy?
-
If you preorder an EA game it’s on you when basic shit doesn’t work on day one. Don’t pay for unfinished products.
-
Those from earlier times would understand. Long ago before the dark times of pre-orders
