In the case of Outbreak, I'd prefer a new one and not just a Remake. Code Veronica's remake is needed, of course.
ID: h1rcj77ID: h1s08dzI could never get to grips with Outbreak, in Resi games I generally like to take my time and explore but with the infection constantly rising it just felt like you were rushed to complete each map before you died.
Shame really cos I loved File #2 with the Zoo

Playing Code Veronica right now, and I gotta agree. It actually holds up better than I expected, but some of the areas really could use an overhaul to make exploration/backtracking a bit more manageable. Steve also needs the Carlos treatment, and Alfred as a villain would definitely benefit from a rework.

I feel like for Outbreak it should be a reboot; take the ideas behind it and fine-tune what worked, adjust (or excise) what didn't; and apply it to the modern "environment".
Opinion on new features: add local co-op, playing originals w/o online kinda sucks; custom scenarios (I think this could be fun, especially for online, could upload/share custom scenarios); environments/scenarios spanning all of RE.
And, this is just my personal opinion: custom character creation, either instead of, or in addition to, set "survivors".

I truly feel a Outbreak remake would do very well if have somewhat of a niche gaming community.
We have better graphics, communications, and better hard drives. The game would be amazing to play with friends.

I would rather see anything other than a RE4 remake.
ID: h1rxyiqYeah I find it hard to believe they'll be able to improve on Resident Evil 4 so I don't really think a remake is needed. I would absolutely love some of the games in the series with less love to get the remake treatment.

I'm not even a Code Veronica fan (it's tied with RE6 for my least favorite main series game) and I want a remake of that. It has a ton of potential that could be fully realized in a remake.

I didn't enjoy Code Veronica tbh, but I'd love to see Outbreak remakes because they're the only two RE games I haven't gotten to play.

With the online play we have outbreak with a leaderboard would be great! CVX is my favourite in the series but I think going back and revamping Gaiden would be preferred.

I think code veronica x holds up really well to this day, but it would be cool to see it in re engine. I would want an outbreak remake bc you cant get outbreak anywhere.

ID: h1rtzvyA remake wouldn't make it better because it would get rid of the camera/tank controls and probably would tweak the story and make it more forgiving. Also I'd rather capcom use their resources on making new games rather than trying to appeal to new fans by remaking games that are already really good.
