Nifty!
And it looks nice!

Kinda reminds me of Super Mario Galaxy.
ID: h288fp4I was thinking of those ps vita games that used the back touch pad to interface with a map like that
ID: h28enrkSame! I remember there was a bossfight against a mole - Major Burrows
-
What's the name of your game? This looks great!
ID: h27yijxThanks 🙂 Deep Space Gardening, you can find it on Steam.

If you told me yesterday I'd like the idea of a space gardening game I don't think I'd believe that, but now seeing how it looks like it's already wishlisted 🙂

The planet is ruled by a giant mole.
-
how are you handling attachment of the surface details? is that just reversible inflation/deflation of the terrain underneath, or is their placement translated through the deformation somehow?
ID: h27w01qWe calculate the translation and rotation of the individual objects from the planet's height and gradient at the object's position.
ID: h27y0fcneat, thanks 🙂

Wow. the animation of how the objects move under the "hump" is incredibly smooth and satisfying, well done!
-
I think your planet is pregnant
