If so how does it play? How is the movement, gunplay, and portal mechanics? I’m hoping it is at least decent and will provide some online multiplayer fun.
I went from over 1100 hours in Blackout to not playing anything online overnight and I really miss that online competitive fun.
Btw, it launches on PS4/Ps5 July 27 as FTP.
Thanks.

Yeah, I mean I get that people feel like it’s a low budget halo and portal, but the game is real fun once you get into it.
I played maybe 200 hours but the player base died and got mega sweaty so I stopped playing
-
1100 hours in blackout? Goddamn.
But yeah think it could be pretty good, emphasis on could. It’s neat that it’ll be FTP tho
-
It played like low budget halo mixed with low budget portal. It didn't feel very good to me.
ID: h33r7p4ID: h33on28Man… depressing. Thx.
ID: h33pc8wI started playing it today... this is the most fun I've had in AGES on PC. It's free, give it a go when it comes out. Somehow the game just clicks in my head with all the portal stuff, flanking people and everything. No harm in giving it a go.
I had a 29 kill streak today. I finally found a shooter I'm good at. Was so fun!

I tried it briefly when it was new. Looked fun when summit played it but it didn't feel as good as I wanted it to. I played a lot of Quake 3 and UT (the newest one on Epic Games, shame that development was halted because it's really good) and unfortunately Splitgate doesn't hold up to the same standard
ID: h35dzpuits frustrating. no arena FPS is taking off what few there seem half arsed attempts. Quake champions was horribly mismanaged and Diabotical couldn't get decent matches a few months after release. The UT community project thing like you said has been painfully slow to get anywhere and is no longer being actively developed.
ID: h34ltgxSummit played it? I almost always see him in GTA… then a few times in DayZ and Tarkov.
ID: h34oodlLately he's always playing GTA when I drop in lol
ID: h35ytyuYeah probably a year or more ago, pretty sure he was playing it in beta and played it some a little after release.
-
It’s a dead game. Cool concept, but noone plays it anymore.
ID: h356e7aOh well hopefully once it launches on consuls with crossplay it’ll see a resurgence for a bit
-
I hope the game would support motion aiming option. I dont really see any reason not to add it.

I absolutely loved this game on PC I even managed to win one of the draft tournaments which was incredibly fun but stoped playing due to low player base.
Here are some pros and cons to the game-
Pros
1.The game has a insanely high skill ceiling if your a competitive player your gonna enjoy getting better even currently there are so many systems in the game which people can barely utilise such as momentum one hit KO.
The guns feel great to use and it’s very responsive and I’m sure with haptics the guns will feel even better.
Even with the tiny playerbase the competitive scene has been supported by the devs even though they only lose money from it but thanks to all the support for the scene it’s the reason why a handful of dedicated players keep playing.
Great map design.
Good communication with the Devs
Tbh I wrote out a bunch of Pros thinking I would get some cons but while writing most was nitpicks but this is the big thing which is it’s main factor for success.
The high skill ceiling will likely scare away lots of new players kinda like a Titanfall 2 situation as if you can’t use the portals your probably gonna prefer to play a different game
ID: h3584ciHey congratulations on the tourney! Hopefully, with all consoles getting a launch with crossplay the game sees new life.

That game feels extremely fine. Nothing terribly special going on there.
-
It’s pretty fun and definitely worth a shot since it’s free. I put around 30 hours or so into it and had a blast. The portal mechanics made for some interesting strategies.
-
I love how it very clearly is Halo meets Portal mp game but OP can’t bring himself to outright say that since this is PS sub
-
I'm looking forward to it. It looks like a new Arena shooter and we are severely lacking those besides... Halo, COD, and Battlefield, which have been the big three for over two decades!
If Doom Eternal had arena multiplayer it probably would have been a solid contender for the current gen.
-
Thought it felt like Halo when I played it. Glad to see a console release.

Keyboard/mouse support?

Yeah, this is correct. I found it entertaining for a couple hours, but the more I played it, the more I just wanted to play Halo MCC or Destiny
