- AMD chips are ST and MT kings. Considering that I almost bought 10900k for "single thread performance". Went from ~490 on my 4790k to 682 on 5900x.

What settings/cooler are you using? I too have a 5900x but i'm pretty much the average. 653 single / 9553 multi.
ID: h4pp1w0ID: h4pwf99I see, and what are the cpu temps under stress test?
also thanks.
ID: h4qiezm-30 Holy SiO2. That's a great sample. Mine crashes in tests with -25 on the better CCD.

That nice im still using my 4790k its overclocked to 4.7ghz. Im saving money for new upgrade 🙂
ID: h4pug63i would cash in zen3+ with v cache. Should last you 5 years easily while DDR5 matures
ID: h4px2elOh yea? Whats the diffrence between zen3 and zen3+?
ID: h4qiqi9I hope normal Zen3 can last that. But if this pace of +15-25% on each gen keeps up who knows.
ID: h4pujodI did the same for like a year, but I was saving for 10900k. Flipped based on a friends recommendation, cant go back now.

If you want the highest CPU-Z single thread score, get an 11900K and DR B-die:
" class="reddit-press-link" target="_blank" rel="noopener">https://valid.x86.fStill not a bad result for Zen 3, but you can probably surpass 700 with tweaked memory timings, even with an NH-D15S
That max power D15S can cool to keep CPU at 90C is ~180W.
Not sure about 11th gen, but my friend runs 10700k on D15 dual fan, and can't even hit stock 5900x ST numbers with his overclock on air-cooling, on b die.
So I believe, it is pretty hard to hit the numbers you posted on an 11900k at 180watt. I think those numbers, you posted, would be at around 300watt for an all core boost. If I could cool 250watts, I think AMD should be able to beat those numbers.
10900 is still good for the price though.
My setup would have to agree.

No other overclocks have been applied. Has been stable w/o any issues since I tuned it (a few weeks ago).
