Everyone is knocking Sony for pushing this game so hard but I'm sure it's not just Sony marketing this game. Bethesda/Zenimax would have had a marketing budget before the buyout from MS and it makes sense for them to use it to build up a loyal fan base. Then when the inevitable sequel is released on Xbone and PC people will want to play it. Historically sequels sell better so it's a win win for everyone.

I'm personally burnt out on the hype train for big fall releases. I get why companies do it but it really distracts from other gaming news and coverage for smaller titles (which ultimately is the point). It's also a big red flag for me that the publishers aren't super confident in the game and need to get those preorders in to keep stock holders happy. I'm still gonna play this game on release (thanks gamefly) but I'm not expecting a masterpiece.

I don’t believe it, Sony’s gotta be getting a bigger cut than usual or something to be pushing a 3rd party exclusive from a studio owned by their competitor this hard, same with Ghostwire Tokyo

I suppose it’s up to personal preference but there’s still plenty of other games coming out later this year that I’m looking forward to instead of this

Didn‘t know Arkane was a „very accomplished studio“. None of their games were particularly successfull, let alone critically acclaimed.

They are really pushing this game hard. I think it looks cool and I’ll pick it up at some point. But, the advertising for this would make someone think this is some crazy triple A first party title. It’s almost strange how much they’re putting in to this game as far as advertising goes.

The concept is great, but the fact that they haven’t shown much of the most interesting aspect (being hunted) worries me.
