Man...level 37 and i dont normally complain about hackers but recently its been really bad...especially on shoreline. Just lost a 700k kit to a level 3 two tapping me through my face shield..2 seconds later my duo same thing. Anyone else notice more hackers recently?

Just wanted to say I feel like I’m finally getting the hang of the game! Level 14, first wipe. My friend and I extracted 5/6 times from customs today doing our Aquarius scav quest. We typically almost never make it out of customs. But we’re picking better routes, and finally getting more confident at fights. I heard movement and wanted another scav kill so I chased it down and it ended up being a PMC, feels so good not trying to hide every two seconds when I hear a noise.
ID: h90z9sdCustoms in my noob opinion is a decently balanced map. Several spots for bosses, some CQB, some not. Lots of extract options, especially if you have a key or money. Good loot as well. I've noticed not much pvp if you travel along the main road to go from one side of the map to the other this wipe .... the contrary was true last wipe in my experience.
ID: h91349rYep it’s just the chokepoints that get us killed. I’ve learned to steer clear of old gas station until later in the match, that chokepoint is where we usually die. And yeah I did figure out that literally just running down the map is the safest way to get from one spot to the other. Kinda weird but it makes sense, cause everyone is either north at dorms or south at all the factory buildings and drug hut.

Is there a fast way to transfer gear from one harness/backpack to another? Like if I am looting and the corpse has better gear than I do
ID: h8yt7vhWhen looting, ALT+Click outs the item onto your pmc if the slot for that type of item is open.
Ctrl+click will put the item into your backpack or rig/pockets. Mags and grenades will go into rig/pockets before backpack.
Hovering over an item and pressing DEL will drop it on the ground.
ID: h8yturwYeah. it looks like the "optimal" route would be to drop/discard my pack/harness, equip theirs, and then search the backpack on the ground? Which may result in another search timer?
So yeah, manually throwing stuff on the corpse, tossing my gear, and putting on theirs is probably how I'll keep doing it. But kind of surprising there isn't a shortcut key to fast put my stuff on the corpse

New player here, been playing for a few days.
Could you guys recommend how to level up faster? I feel like life in EFT is 100000x easier with the flea market unlocked
ID: h91iaz9Quests are the main source of xp for most of the game, but if you’re not doing quests, line up headshots on scavs for double the xp, tap f on their body to get a bunch of xp (every item on a body gives xp when you first look at it, so if they have a bunch of items you’ll get ~100 xp). Scav raiders also give 500 or 1000 xp per kill, can’t remember, and if you headshot them it doubles also.
Also, almost all gunsmith quests are profitable and they all give a shitton of xp, it can be tricky to get parts before flea but it’s definitely worth it for the xp.

I just killed someone on woods, it seemed to be a sweaty chad, he had a VSS or something and a large backpack.
I went in at night without NGVs. I couldn't find him. FML.

Hey guys. Played EFT on and off, but never really seriously and never really learned the game mechanics very well. One question I have is regarding 1on1s with other PMCs. My feeling is that most encounters end up with me standing/crouching and aiming for them and trying to tap or spray them down. However, most of the time, my enemy seem to be running/strafing while killing me. Are they shooting without scoping in, like hip-firing me, instead of scoping/aiming like I do?
ID: h8ynwf8In a sense yes, in EFT there's no actual "hip-firing", your weapon presentation when not aiming down sights is essentially a point firing position; rifles are always shouldered and pistols are already in a firing stance, ADS'ing just shifts your eye to the sight, since inertia when moving is practically non-existent in the game except in ADS, players tend to spam A-D spam as they point-fire, BSG have been working on implementing a more robust inertia system, hopefully we'll get it sooner than later, in the meantime go offline with bots enabled and practice with various weapon systems and configurations.

play with laser, than you can ez shot and kill in run. and you can aim very exactly on the up to 25meters i think. helps a lot not to scope in houses or closerange is my opinion, and lasers makes its much easier to shot their
ID: h91splgYes. Hip fire is very good in EFT. Should be used in CQC fights
ID: h8ym2p4I’m newer also… but hip-firing like 90% of the time if within 20 meters. Aiming is for when you have TIME to aim, surprise kills or corner peaking. If you’re in the open, full auto spray is preferred for me. Where your barrel is aiming is where the shots go it seems, unlike some other games.

ID: h900rxnThey do it constantly. Though just account bans, so folks just buy new accounts. If you have sus interactions record them, edit them down to just the interaction, then the player name and send it to bsg. When you do this if it results in a ban it will be a hardware ban.

Okay, so putting a tac device on your gun increases your hipfire acc, everyone knows that. But since waaay back I thought all you need is for them to just be on your gun, do you actually have to turn them on?

ID: h91d9gfit's twofold. the visible dots give you a point of aim, and the game gives you a spread reduction when you have a tac device attached and on. you don't actually have to see it - there's an IR tac device that has a faint red glow that does the same spread reduction as all the others.

Ok question. I spawned in as a scav and within the first 10 seconds tagilla was trying to sledge hammer me, if i killed him would I have lost all my fence rep? I didn't do anything to provoke him he was already running towards me as soon as I spawned
ID: h9016ilOnly if you are at max rep, otherwise you would lose just some rep if you killed him, I don't remember exact value for killing a boss

So when i select my server on the launcher it says 40ms but when i load into a raid 9 times out of 10 my ping is 140ms what gives Tarkov?

Is there a way to see the Fence karma message history? Thing is when I play as a scav I am too focused on the shootouts that I miss the message. Sometimes I will kill a scav who has been shooting me (but not hitting) and I can't see if I had a rep increase or decrease.
ID: h915b9wAs far as I'm aware there isn't anything like that. Best case, note your Fence rep before Scavving in and then take a look at it afterwards. Also, unless it's a player Scav or you have negative Karma, pretty sure AI Scavs shouldn't shoot at you (Raiders and Scav Bosses excluded. They'll kill you until you get high enough rep).

How important is Fence rep? I'm not really sure how I'm supposed to get it up and I currently sit at almost -1, is that bad and if so how do I fix that?
ID: h914miaA) It's only important if you wanna run Scavs/ be able to get the quest for kappa.
B) STOP KILLING SCAVS AS A SCAV. I get that you might not have known that to start with, but you have to do a fair bit of killing (with each kill informing you of a -.01 to -.05 Scav karma rating (which is the same as Fence rep)) to get to -1 rep.
C) To fix it, STOP KILLING SCAVS AS A SCAV. Also, just making it through a Scav raid, using a joint exfil (not sure if this ups your rep, but I believe you get a Scav box for it), and using the car exfil on any map as a PMC will all increase you Scav karma.
I literally wiggled and was wiggled back at in Factory, looted a box, and same guy came running at me and shot me in the head. If you wanna kill Scavs or aren't patient/ capable enough to tell the difference, then just run PMC.

I couldn't use Visa (European here) so I used Paypal which was a bit complicated; for safety reasons they have to verify your payment so you need to contact their live chat where they will guide you through a few steps of screenshotting the reciept etc. Eventually it worked.

Would anyone be opposed to halving the time you have to wait to do the next scav run if you are killed by a scav player in your last scav run? This wouldnt include if you shot them first, or killed another scav prior.

You already have cooldown of 5 min with max rep and intel lvl 3

Little hard to get max rep when u die to player scavs and cant extract half the time, and I dont have 30 hours a week to devote to grinding rep
