I have nothing to play.... Board Game Edition!
2 : Anonymous2021/08/15 18:14 ID: h924gji

What a collection. I'm heading over, we will pick one to play.

ID: h9276ef

I say we pick more than just one!

ID: h927s7r

I need a friend like you. I've tried finding local game groups for board games. Haven't had success but I'll keep trying.

ID: h935mxd

Can I come too?

3 : Anonymous2021/08/15 17:52 ID: h921a7g

I have a similar collection with nowhere close to the organization. I'm really jealous. My wife would love this too.

What shelves are those?

Do you have a table as well?

ID: h921vq9

The left and right right wooden shelves I custom made when my collection was smaller. The height of each shelf is adjustable and slides forward to make it easier to get the tight fitting games out. The metal shelves are some generic brand I got at a home depot.

I am working on designing a custom table to build but I haven't been able to settle on some of the more unique specifics.

ID: h925yef

So ive designed game tables before and ive got some sick ideas for a new one if youre interested and wanna message me

ID: h92ency

Those shelves look great. I'm extremely envious.

Spot a few we share. Dwellings of Eldervale, Anachrony, Dune (GF9)...

ID: h921z1t

All great games! Anything you looking to pick up in the near future?

5 : Anonymous2021/08/15 18:03 ID: h922vw6

Do you want to play Hive?

ID: h926wua

It's a great game. I can't get anyone here to play it too often because it's one of the few games I can win consistently.

ID: h927nkb

Damn. I didn't see it and thought I could stump you. Also, my 10yo beats me at Hive all the time. It's humbling, but I love the game

6 : Anonymous2021/08/15 18:20 ID: h925al5

you're a wizard harry.

7 : Anonymous2021/08/15 18:24 ID: h925rve

Jesus Christ, how much money am I looking at?

ID: h92748a

That's a question I haven't been able to bring myself to figure out the answer.....

ID: h927ev7

My uncle saves up the baggies he gets from buying weed so at the end of the year he can tally up how much he spent. It's an uncomfortable truth he chooses to face.

8 : Anonymous2021/08/15 19:48 ID: h92hc93

Whats the batman thing on the ahelf?

9 : Anonymous2021/08/15 20:08 ID: h92k8px

Man, I am super jealous! I have no one who wants to play with me. My husband isn't really interested in board games, my mother-in-law doesn't have the patience to learn the rules and my son is still too little. And all our friends have busy lives.

When we were younger we all liked to play magic the gathering together. I miss those times.

If my son later shows even the tiniest bit of interest in playing board games with me I will be so happy. I already bought a few children friendly games and just waiting for him to show interest.

ID: h92pc9q

My wife and middle son are who I do the most of my gaming with. Some anniversaries we actually do gencon. I am pretty fortunate that she is just as into this hobby as I am.

I started my kids at a younger age than the boxes suggested and I think that helped with getting my kids into games who will still play now that they are in high school.

I know what you mean about rules. I’ve tried to teach my parents and hers and their eyes just glaze over like you’re explaining quantum theory.

Sir, you appear to have taken a picture of the inside of a Traveling Man shop.

11 : Anonymous2021/08/15 22:29 ID: h933kth

Twilight Imperium and the MAD Magazine game. Let's play.

12 : Anonymous2021/08/15 22:48 ID: h935yxp

I always picture the board ga,e fanatics on here having a best friend like Newman and Kramer playing risk

In reality I feel a friend comes over and half the time is spent explaining how to play the game. That was how it was when I had board game night with some friends!

13 : Anonymous2021/08/15 22:55 ID: h936yr6

when you finally decide what to play, but can’t because you have no friends. cries inside

ID: h9374el

They all went and had kids.....

14 : Anonymous2021/08/15 23:09 ID: h938qut

It like a Steam library - but in real life.

ID: h9393lw

Let’s not look at my steam library. I feel all I did was double down.....

15 : Anonymous2021/08/15 23:12 ID: h9392rc

And people say I have too many games at 70

16 : Anonymous2021/08/15 18:05 ID: h9233zp

Have you played all of them? What are the top three you would recommend for quick pickup when we have friends over?

17 : Anonymous2021/08/15 18:14 ID: h924cfb

Love me some mage knight!

ID: h927bgc

That's one of the first more complex game I ever played. My really good gaming buddy introduced me to it. I think it's actually the first board game I bought a copy of that someone I knew already had one. I really wanted to be able to play it whenever I wanted.

ID: h929m4u

I feel that. It was my gateway board game. The complexity of it is irritating but also so satisfying. Great collection!

18 : Anonymous2021/08/15 18:24 ID: h925sos

Literally my dream

19 : Anonymous2021/08/15 18:51 ID: h929lzq

Nothing to play shop

20 : Anonymous2021/08/15 18:56 ID: h92aclf

Looks like James's room from AVGN

21 : Anonymous2021/08/15 19:04 ID: h92bcrc

Make sure you've got a list of what you've got for the insurance guy, if this lives in a basement

ID: h92d047

It’s in a living room but I have a detailed inventory as regular ins won’t cover it and it requires it’s own separate policy.

ID: h92onbl

22 : Anonymous2021/08/15 19:08 ID: h92byie

Bet you have one of those fancy multi level board game tables

ID: h92cw5c

I does not. Just a regular ass kitchen table. I do want to make my own though eventually.

ID: h92h8km

At comic con one year a guy had a demonstration of a table with like 3 surfaces that rotate away to leave a game playing

23 : Anonymous2021/08/15 19:24 ID: h92e5yf

24 : Anonymous2021/08/15 19:48 ID: h92heg6

Do you remember the game “Samurai Swords” ? I know it was originally something sold as something else.

25 : Anonymous2021/08/15 20:09 ID: h92kbuq

Omg, f-ing goals

26 : Anonymous2021/08/15 20:10 ID: h92kh5b

More like “hoard game”, amirite?

ID: h92pkma

I always did like dragons. I guess I have more in common with them than I thought!

27 : Anonymous2021/08/15 20:11 ID: h92koom

Cool I made a wooden can't stop game at work also what no mansions of madness?

ID: h92prtz

I just gave away my new copy of can’t stop to my brother because I found that old one at a flea market. I don’t know why but I liked it better.

I’ve never actually played mansion of madness to be honest!

28 : Anonymous2021/08/15 20:46 ID: h92pklm

I always fall back to Risk...

29 : Anonymous2021/08/15 20:52 ID: h92qf3g
