Looks like Factions 2 will be bigger than we all thought.

Uncharted 2 and 3 both had brilliant multiplayer, especially 2. Uncharted 4 has awesome multiplayer, and TLOU’s Factions was great.

ID: haounb2So if you’ve played GTAO and RDO, your character and others populate in fully designed cutscenes and so on. Really adds to the role play element. My assumption is, Naughty Dog will just ramp it up even further to make it feel as if you’re on a journey with your faction. But that’s just an assumption since those are the only two other games i play online, so that’s all I have to go off of.

ID: haoj7mkYou’re likely gonna have to buy it. It originally (probably) was going to be with TLOU2 for free, but then it apparently became too ambitious
ID: hap6c6mThey said in 2019 (I think) that it became too big to be incorporated in tlou2 so they decided to make it a stand-alone game, it will most likely be a full price AAA game.

ID: hao8ceoProbably not, the majority of Naughty Dog is either working on this or the TLOU remake. Once those are done they go into full production on their next single player game. Meaning, they need to hire new people to continue working on the multiplayer game to keep adding new content to it over the years, since the majority of the workers will transition back to their large single player game.
ID: hapghprI would bet they've already started on two other projects, at least in pre-production. Naughty Dog has grown a lot, Sony has put a lot of funding into expanding first party production this year, and I think they're going for an Insomniac approach of having several teams at once. I wouldn't be surprised if a new IP and The Last of Us 3 are both in the works. New Jak and Daxter would be sick too but i doubt it.

I would certainly hope most of the studio is mostly focused on something more notable than these titles. If not, it basically means no new single player game from them til like 2026 or something.
TLOU remake still feels like a joke, too. What a waste of time and resources.
ID: haoak00It’s been worked on since before TLOU2 released so I think it’s probably sooner than we think. Basically Factions 3.0 at this point if it was to large to ship with the base game

I mean they literally said back in September 2019 that it had gotten too ambitious to be a mode in TLOU2 so I did expect it to be something big.
