The article states it’s more of a remake with additional content, not just an upgrade. Says the worlds is about 30% larger and there are extra missions, etc. So it kinda IS exclusive, but it’s a fine line since it’s still pulled from an existing game.

Game looks kinda interesting but the frame rate in the trailer looks pretty rough. Will wait for reviews or maybe a performance patch.
