I like arenas but the ranked system is so messed up. I hit Diamond 2 in the first season and would have needed nearly 500 more games to get to Masters at my ~58% Win Rate.
The fact that you can’t even see what ranks your teammates or enemies are just shows how busted the system is. I would message my random teammates every game to see what ranks I’m working with. Mpst were bronze to gold

ID: hvzft2sYeah it artificially locks you into what rank the game thinks you are by giving you 20pts per win and them 12pts per win and that's what ruins it for me. Just let us progress naturally and if we get ahead of our skill level then the losses will put us in our place so idk why they have it set up the way it is

The whole point of a "ranked" mode is to compete against players near your skill level. In ranked arenas, hardly ever played a game where a team wasn't one plat/diamond player with two bronze/silvers - seemed the only time a team was composed of similar ranks was when it was a group queuing together. Completely defeats the entire purpose of a "ranked" mode.

I dont think it needs a rework, most people who dont like arenas will probably love the new gamemode.

Like the people complaining about 3 stacks in pubs but instead you HAVE to fight the 3 stack, and don't even get to have a fun fight or two in between

I've never played Ranked Arenas. I used to play a handful of Arenas pubs to get my BP finished but I didn't even do that this season. Got BP finished easily without it. Never playing Arenas again. I just don't find it interesting or fun

Failed because of its terrible matchmaking and horrendous balancing with the amount of powerful weapons you can buy. Not only that ranked suffer even more with its hilariously awful AP system and awful maps, (Mainly talking about the world's edge arena map with the yellow tanks.) People keep asking why its like this but we never get any answers. Gamemode died due to poor management.

On top of the point system being weird, the rewards are shit. It's the same as BR except no dive trails for high ranks. Gotta be something in the place of dive trails

Because you only get points for wins and lose points for losing no matter the circumstances. This makes playing arenas extremely frustrating especially when solo queuing because you have to rely on randoms to hold their own weight which typically doesn’t happen. Maybe because of the matchmaking who knows but there’s no reason you should lose points if you have 10 kills, 3k damage, multiple assists, knocks and revives just because you lose the match. Especially when you lose because your teammates have 0-2 kills and less than 500 by round 6. Where as with battle royal you still have to rely on teammates but it’s also less demoralizing because you get points for kills and assists so even if you’re teammates aren’t holding any weight you still have a chance to earn points. Where as arenas if you have bad teammates you’re just automatically losing points.
Ranked arenas needs a change to match making and how you can obtain points to make it more appealing and rewarding

i won 9 games in a row earning only between 8-12AP then lost to my 10th game with a penalty of -124AP its so devastating..

Personally I love playing Arenas. Yes the matchmaking is broken. And the ranked system is actual dogshit. But I like just 3v3 skirmishes. Plus getting to use whatever guns you want. Its nice

i honestly think that arenas would be so much more bearable with something as simple as map changes. the pokey gameplay is miserable so just cut out most of these long lines of sight. maybe its just me but replacing snipe
fights with shotgun/smg fights sounds much more fun and skillfull. this system of poking until you get a down or smthn sucksobjectives would also be nice bc nobody really seems to care about mats or meds.
ID: hvzw24eWell tbf you can force close range fights by changing your team comp or just rotating differently, each map supports both playstyles pretty well.

Arenas should never have been the permanent alternate game mode. It should have been a straight up TDM. I'm going to guess now that control is what I personally would rather have over Arenas. But we shall see.

I enjoy Arenas (except that one really small map) but I don't know how you could change it to have more people like it. My guess is some people don't even enjoy buying equipment, or the fact that the game is less random than BR.
In BR you can tell yourself "we got unlucky" and you're right sometimes. In Arena, not so much.

Didn't play a single arena game this season and I have to say I really enjoyed my gaming experience so much more. I was able to finish the battlepass just under a month early still. I didn't have to deal with being stuck in a game with another toxic pos who would try to pull off a 3v1 by rushing and continue to scream at us for how bad of a teammate he was.
Going 9 rounds with people like that got old very quickly last season. Even after muting people getting spammed messages and invites just makes it worse. Arena itself was okay, children acting like that made it unplayable for me. Maybe the new game mode will be fun.

I love arenas and honestly I think the pop is fine - 6 players versus 60 has different requirements!
100% even, guaranteed fights are punishing, so its not for everyone. Great to learn though.
That said, id like to see changes to the ranking/ matchmaking system, which seems random and poorly implemented.
