Huh, so unlike Rise this is a simultaneous release on NS and PC.
I suppose its clear that PC version of Rise is practically done, some if not all the unrealistically crisp official screenshots of Rise are actually taken on the PC version (Rise on NS docked runs on average 756p only). The only reason Rise is a 2022 PC game is Nintendo bought the timed exclusive.
MHW + Iceborne sold more than 5 to 6 previous Nintendo MHs combined. It must have Capcom thinking why the fuck did they keep MH on 3DS only for years.
Edit: since someone says my sales numbers are wrong - you can check for yourself

The only reason Rise isn't getting a simultaneous release is Nintendo paid for timed exclusivity on it, based on that Capcom leak from a while back. Guess Stories wasn't a part of that deal.
Pretty sure some SS of Monster Hunter rise are done on the supposedly new version of the switch coming out this year as well.
Idk about that last part. The thing is monster hunter took a LONG time to grow in North America. The region they were most popular in (japan) preferred hand held to console, so I think they made the perfect call. It worked out astoundingly well.
It's always possible they made a deal.

Because 3DS was the biggest market at that time in JP (much like PSP was) and the series began to grow in the west in that time as well, with the first million seller coming at that time. Of course, the PSP also had its contribution, although the million seller came from the 3DS era.
World was the culmination of all of it plus AAA game.
Nice, looking forward to that one.
Oh sweet.
Looking forward to this more than MH Rise, tbh.
What type of games are the stories line of monster hunter?
turn based JRPG
Pokemon basically
Is this traditional Monster Hunter gameplay or more of an adventure game ala Telltale games?
turn based JRPG mate
Pokemon
this looks neat
stories 1 was a phone game similar to pokemon, right?
It originated on the 3DS then was ported to phones later.
This looks like How to Train your Dragon, but with monsters and it's a game.
Glad Capcom realizes PC greatness. Those MHWI sales numbers really gave them a massive boner.
