Not surprising, given that everything is taking longer to release.

At least I can log into Division 2 months later and know where I left off. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do or where to go in Destiny 2 anymore.

I feel you. I started playing literally days before the beyond light expansion dropped. No more main campaign for me :(. It's just... gone... And I'm not about to drop 40$ on a 5 hour expansion

afaik the update is so far out because the recent title update was supposed to be the last one, which ended the story. There was cut scenes and all that to wrap it up.(One of the complaints about it was that its ending was very underwhelming).
The next update wasn't supposed to happen.
I imagine it's possibly they went from developing Divisoin 3, to shifting gears entirely to w.e. the Star Wars game that they're said to be making.

Seems very plausible. Kind of a bummer because I think Division is cool, and could be much better. At the same time, I am curious to see what Massive can do with Star Wars. Cautiously optimistic.

lol why would someone give a shit about the story in a looter shooter? You have to run the same levels over and over again, and no cohesive story could ever good enough to explain why you farm the same bosses for loot.
