I love landing and trying to loot and then there is just a ring on top of me. Smh
Ring flares and heat shields are the LAST thing this game needed. And the heat shields are permanent without even being tested. The audio that came with is super trash, feels like I’m in a tornado.
Edit: And the new giant ring they added literally makes half of the map unplayable. Actually so dumb.

This LTM is utter garbage. The audio is broken, half the map is in zone 24/7 and the heat shield is super broken and cheesy. I thought the devs wanted fast heal out of the game and now we’re rewarding bad positioning with it? I am lost.

Stop forcing LTMs on us. It should be an option. Return the inspect button to normal after the event

There's no two ways about it: the state of the game degraded signficantly after the last patch. Off the top of my head:
Wooooshhhh noises playing every time someone enters or exits a heat shield. How in the world was this not caught in a QA environment? (fortunately, this will be fixed on Monday)
Fill / No Fill is buggy
Maggie saying two different voice lines at once (not to mention she is horrible as an announcer, but this is subjective)
The loot in KC has somehow gotten worse with this LTM. This should never happen for events.
Forcing people to play KC for a week is a bad move that goes against the user experience and enjoyment, and drives engagement down. Please stop forcing maps on players in any scenario outside of ranked (unless you just released a new map like in S7)
The Bangalore/Caustic particle bug which now renders her much less effective in combat due to her smoke being less thick

While i understand the constant woosh will be fixed Monday...im disappointed this cannot be fixed sooner.
Its single handedly making both pubs and ranked near unplayable just from how much it occurs.

Reactivate the normal map rotation. Being forced to play on KC for a week for the second time this season has to be the worst part about this event. Not even all annoying bugs are as bad as this god forsaken map.

9 out of 10 times when I’m jumpmaster I’ll have someone stick to me the entire drop and loot the same building I’m in. It’s so annoying, jumpmaster should be able to detach at a certain height.

To everyone who's spending money on this game: be extremely careful, because you can lose everything in the blink of an eye without having done anything wrong. I lost all my stuff today. Been playing Apex since day one. Have three heirlooms. Have an absolute ton of skins. I've spent some serious money (hundreds of dollars) in support of this game over the past two years.
I'm now locked out of the game with my main (actually, my only) account.
This morning (about 10 hours ago), I got the Code:net/black screen/infinity loading error when I started the game up to play a little. I cannot get past the data center screen (the 'Continue' button). I've spoken with EA. There is nothing they can do. They are aware of the issue, but there is no timeline on a fix. I've spoken to multiple people on EA's forum. It's been weeks for most of them. Weeks of no access to the game, with no solution in sight.
I took to Twitter. Dozens of people in Respawn's (or their employees) mentions about this problem. People who've spent even more money than me. For a handful of them, it's been up to 4 months (!) since they've had access to their main account. Respawn's official account called it "a thorny one", just yesterday. That's basically the extent of an update on the situation.
I've reached out to Daniel Klein and Chad Grenier on Twitter, hoping they can help (I don't know how to tag them here), so hopefully they get back to me and are willing to look into my situation. I also realize they are probably extremely busy fixing the mess that was the last patch, so I'm not holding my breath. Chad was actively communicating with affected players, telling them to DM him yesterday, so hopefully he'll tell me the same.
I'm not telling you to stop spending money on the game if you like it, because I have and I don't regret supporting a game I love (as frustrating as Apex can be sometimes), but this error and especially the total lack of a fix is dangerous and a threat to your digital bling. I am not the only person who has been affected by this, but our numbers (compared to the amount of active players) are relatively small. Maybe a couple of thousand? This is not likely to be a priority.
I am worried (/resigning myself to the fact) that I will never gain access to my 2 year old account again, and even if I do (which I obviously will continue to hope for), it will probably take so long, I've missed out on all rewards that I would have easily gotten otherwise.
ID: gqpy33vThis is affecting me too and literally nobody from Respawn or EA have said what is being done about a fix for it. All I see is, "It's being looked into". Great, problem is people have been unable to access the game for weeks some even months and yet there is still zero fix or update beyond that.

or anyone that can please fill us in on what the hell is going on with this issue. This isn't a sound issue or an infinite heat shield glitch, I literally cannot access the lobby and play without a Code Net and you are all super silent about it. -
This might be the dumbest LTM. All they did is add more ring. It randomly griefs people who might have previously been set up in a strong spot. Forces certain rotations, allowing teams to easily camp them. Then to top it off it's buggy as hell with an announcement every time I move more than 5 meters. People have also found ways to exploit the bug and will grief the entire lobby all game with the god damn ring flare noise. To top it all off, there isn't a standard pub mode. To play the standard game I have to play ranked. Perhaps I don't want to play ranked at all times, but I certainly don't ever want to play this bullshit mode of extra ring(s).
Whoever comes up with these dumbass ideas should probably be let go or at least moved to a less "creative" role. Give people what they want. Team death match and solos.
ID: gqq83o8Thanks for saving me the time to vent. I just finished my second game in a row where we get to a later round and I’m all out of heals and die easy in a fight. Why? Because I used them all not running from the ring itself, but because of these goddamn flares.
You know what everyone wanted? Less map to play on. Seriously what a terrible terrible game mode. We went from high tier loot to a low tier map. Great job respawn

The Chaos Theory update may actually be the worst ever update in Apex history in terms of the amount of bugs introduced. Holy fuck. Also just delete Ring Fury and bring back Locked & Loaded. Thanks.

I can usually ignore this game's wacky bullshit when it comes to bugs, but the whoosh sound is really next level stuff. So many bugs in this patch... I mean, even the single/burst fire icon is broken. Also I hate this LTM.

Adding more audio to a game that already struggled with audio wasn’t the play. Footsteps are non existent if you’re forced to fight in a flare with heat shields. Oh and revert weapon inspect on controller.

This is comfortably the least enjoyable Apex has ever been for me. I am not having fun at all. The LTM is utter shite. People can just camp either side of the ring flare until it fades, leading to slow combat and no fights til endgame. The heat shields are an useless addition to the game, but at least they moved it from ranked. Probably the only smart thing the devs have done this season.
Ranked on KC has been an utter shitshow, but we all expected it. The devs have the nerve to call this a reworked KC when they only made major adjustments to the two extreme points of the map... You cannot get into a single fight on KC without 4/5 teams quickly joining in.
We’re forced to play this shitty KC map in both pubs and ranked, and in pubs we’re forced to play this shitty LTM. I’ve never felt like this with Apex before - as bad as the audio, servers, or glitches can get, I’ve always enjoyed playing.
I am not enjoying it whatsoever now. I don’t think I’ll touch the game until Olympus is back in Ranked.

Please return Bangalores smoke to its prior state. She's literally been the most fairly balanced legend in the game since launch (most Apex lifers would agree). She is reliant on 3 solid and fair abilities. The smoke nerf has thrown off her balance in my opinion. The digital threats are already a counter as is bloodhound. Now everyone can see a bit easier.
Least complained about legend from either side of the argument. Didn't need to be touched.

Solos should be added absolutely. Sure it’s a team game but if people want solos they can play them so when I drop into trios I can actually get some solid teammates who don’t leave or drop solo. More enjoyable for everyone involved. Just make it a separate lobby for the players.

Game is in the worst state right now, and like many others I'm a season 0 player.
-Servers are dogsh*t. I've never had such amount of rubberbanding, disconnections and overall bad performance.
-There are gamebreaking bugs on some legends for months. I can't believe they haven't fixed Loba's teleport, for MONTHS. They tried hard to avoid any kind of air teleport on her to avoid aggro gameplay, I understand that, but for god's sake her Q is a death sentence right now. If you are using it it's because you need it, and having a no-no break all your movement flow.
-Horizon airlift is OP, and even streamers acknowledge that. Ofc they keep making use of it, knowing that is broken. And this will be going on for MONTHS.
-In every new patch there are a lot of blatant new bugs, annoying stuff and recurrent bugs that reappear. How can they pass any QA/unit test? The wooshh sound it's so annoying I can't believe that's not tested in any way and make it to the final patch.
-SBMM is broken, but players have so many other issues that it's silently being ignored. I can't carry lvl 30 players, and I don't want to. I want balanced matches always, not 1 in 20.
-Many game balances are weird to say the least. Caustic, also Bangalore smoke, etc etc I just can't even.. You can agree or not that nerf was needed, but the smoke one was a change nobody asked for. Nobody complained about smoke blocking vision in this season. They don't release game stats as pickrate, winrate etc so they can do any meta change and we don't know if it was really needed or not.

I'm really against complicating this game any further. For example, if you're a new player, how are you going to figure out by yourself that Crypto can rez people by taking the drone to the beacon?
There's nothing on the menus that explains that to you, and these details put you at great disadvantage against people that know these things

It's funny how the developer is so against a solo mode but is putting me in duos LTM matches on my own. I've played more games alone (1v2 multiple teams with mixed results) than with a duo's partner.

RESPAWN PLEASE FIX CODE NET.
I cannot even access my own account on apex, I can’t reach the lobby. When I’m at the main menu and select continue it gives me a minute long loading screen and then I receive a (code net) error every time. I would like to play the game that I’ve spent a ton of money on... I mean I literally just bought the Bangalore heirloom the other day and I can’t even use it and I’m gonna miss out on the event tracker. HOW IS THIS AN ISSUE FOR A COMPANY AS BIG AS EA. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE
