After a month of grinding, dying and gear fear, I finally made level 10. Yep, I'm horrible, but it feels great. I have not even tried using Flea yet, but I'm looking forward to learning a new side of Tarkov.

ID: gr0kupjSame... I play solo 90% of the time and it's rough out there right now. Definitely learning to be reeeeeal choosy about my fights only taking them when I HAVE to or I have an advantage. Always, ALWAYS assume you're fighting more than one and play that way. I've gotten quite a few duo/trio wipes by playing very cautiously after the first kill.
I've also learned to count getting 1-3 kills against a squad as a victory even if I die. Just getting good fights is enough sometimes, even if you don't make it.

So I understand that Raiders are supposed to be ex PMCs highly trained and all that, so their tactics and aim are really good. That all makes sense, but why the frig do they have double the health of PMCs? Especially double head health? I just don’t get why a game so obsessed with being as realistic as possible makes it so you can’t one tap Raiders in the naked face unless your bullets do more than 50 flesh damage.

Staring at "10 PMC kills on Shoreline" at 0/10 after two hours of attempts and feeling the abyss swallow my soul lmao. I'm sure it's one of those things where it's going to be nothing, nothing, nothing, FOUR KILLS, nothing, nothing, THREE KILLS, etc., but lord is it draining.
Any good spots/paths to run into unaware players? I want to do this in a timely manner without resorting to exit camping or some other scummy shit, but I'm just not rich enough to be strutting into resort and starting firefights, at least not without going broke in an hour. Maybe I'll stalk around substation?

I keep getting head/eyes by shotgun scavs from across the map.

I’ve been playing for a few weeks now, super addicting, but I think one of the things I absolutely loathe is the scav AI in this game. Scavs being able to see through bushes is complete shit, and reeks of really lazy AI programming.
It seems like scavs are either utterly stupid, or have godlike headshot esp, no in between :/

Just went to interchange and spawned at power which in my head means RR exit because its closer to emercom, so after getting an early PMC kill I headed there. Ran into a KS-23 boi on the tracks and domed him, but not before he blacked my leg. I hit the propital I stashed cause why not and ran into my exit, except... it wasn't my exit. Hobbled my ass the long way around the map to emercom, crawling the last open stretch, stopping my crawl to further dome a scav checking the stash behind the fence. So, overall great run for me, but lol
ID: gqvsvbqMan I've been there, me and my mate got all the way to UN extract on woods earlier today, only to have to hoof it all the way back to outskirts because it wasn't out exit. We spawned used stash ffs, weird raid.

When should I start contesting the highly coveted loot spots? (Dorms, resort, etc) I’m still trying to level up to 10, but afterwards, I’m not sure if I should still play like a rat and only hit up the non-contested loot areas on maps or actually try to fight my way there

ID: gr5gf46I run solo 100% of the time and I’m having a great time. I’m terrible too, about 20% survival rate and I nearly always die when I come across other PMCs but the thrill is incredible.

I'm having trouble seeing players. I just ran straight into a player on construction/stronghold in customs and I couldn't see him at all until he shot. He was standing straight ahead of me. I've also played this game all day since last Monday and have three pmc kills. IDK how to not suck. I know the maps I play and I take fights where I have the advantage and better gear, but I just die. I wear a ulach and level 5 armor and still die to player scavs and even AI scavs. I can make money but just can't PVP worth a damn.

What in the fuck is with the eating and drinking in the game right now? I'm level 5, and the only thing I can buy to get my energy back is a pack of crackers that costs 15k Roubles and only gives me 10 energy, and also takes away 5 hydration? So I need to spend 150k R to get my energy back up, and also buy a bottle of water to offset the hydration decrease?? Oh, and I can only buy 3 of the crackers???
ID: gqzr75wGo go woods and you can find lots of food and hydration to loot. Especially in the camp near the sawmill.

Is it worth zeroing out bank (literally spending all roubles) to get the first GPU in the farm?
Have 3.5 tanks in the generator now.
ID: gqvnn72The first GPU delivers the biggest leap in income, reducing returns from there on in. Have a think about how much it will cost you versus the 670-770k a day back you will get (minus fuel cost - 115k?). Even if it costs you 3m to get going, within a week you will have that back and from there on in it’s free money.

ID: gr18qvdUntil level 10 you should probably avoid PMCs and try for quests until you can get access to better ammo from the flea market since you won’t be able to pen most armor. It doesn’t take long to level up.
Personally I would run a scav on factory and just extract to use that gear. Or take a cheap pistol, bop a scav in the head and run his gear.
Just lay low for the first 5 minutes of the raid and there will be less pmcs to fight, plus you’ll know where they are from the shooting.

Anyone else noticing an increase in people with wall hacks? Getting a lot of people sprinting up to me in Interchange while I’m on the other side of a wall not moving or looting and somehow knowing exactly where I am even though I haven’t peaked or shuffled my feet or anything at most I’m moving at minimum speed while crouching and turning as slow as possible to not shuffle my feet.

Anyone feel like headshots are super prominent these days? Like...On both sides. I’m getting headshots where I’m like ... “oh, I got him?”
Idk if it’s something with the hit box or I’m losing my mind but literally 80% of my kills and deaths are headshots.

Holy shit can they please remove global limits. I grind out quests to finally unlock all trader levels, and I can't buy ss190, m61, m995 or m885a1 within 2 mins of restock. Maybe everyone just spends 3k on each bullet because they have 100 mil, but right now every person that plays the game daily has gear that will kill you in 2 bullets, while there is absolutely no way a newer player can get those bullets because they're either inflated or out of stock. Apart from gun modding, global limits make the traders almost useless.

Horde setting in offline mode is spawning 0 scavs. Leaving the settings on "as online" spawns the normal amount of scavs but horde makes it a ghost town.

Inertia needs to be a thing. People moving left to right and holding down the trigger needs to stop.
ID: gqvu899I feel you. Chuds downvoting and insulting you will be the first people to cry "realism" when there's talk of removing advantageous "realistic" things for the sake of the game. That said I can go either way on this one. AD spam is unrealistic when you have a massive backpack full of shit, but from a gameplay perspective it will feel really, really bad on keyboard imo.

We've all been there brother. The game really opens up after level 10, and then again from mid to late 20's when you level up traders. You'll get to level 10 next wipe in half the time.
