- Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy page appeared on the Microsoft Store
10GB size sounds pretty small.ID: gq4igt2
That's the size of the first game only. It did come out during the PS3/360 generation after all.
Presumably you can download them all separately.
Definitive Mass-Murderer, more like it.ID: gq3shw5
That's the whole franchise since TR2 back in like... 97?
I'm playing through the trilogy again, currently approaching the end of Rise of The Tomb raider.
I'm getting a lot more out of these games my second time through, and it's definitely pushed the series up into one of my all time favorites. The story and Lara's character arc flows well between the games, the gameplay systems and game worlds become larger and more complex, and the additions of new game plus and modes like survival mode make the games a lot more immersive than they were on my first playthrough.
There aren't enough games like these.ID: gq42kya
I had played only the first Tomb Raider before this series, and it was too many years ago to remember much. Square Enix's TR might be different from what was TR before it, but frankly I really liked it. The playability is really good, and the graphics are also great. Definitively three great games.ID: gq3rwey
These games scratched an itch I never knew I had. In fact the 2013 title was the last game I torrented and even then after half an hour or so I bought the game on steam. It was too good to pass up.
Now I want to play through the trilogy again, though I never beat shadow of the tomb raider...ID: gq71sw0
I can't be the only one that absolutely loved the difficulty setting of Rise, great innovation that I hope more games implement.ID: gq4h7b9
If only the Uncharted series was on PC. I'm hoping Sony will bring the Nathan Drake Collection to PC soon. If you enjoyed the Tomb Raider reboot, Uncharted will knock your socks off.
I played the first Tomb Raider reboot and Rise of the Tomb Raider and while the gameplay was good fun, the writing was just...not great. Uncharted's writing and gameplay are both fantastic and not to be missed. Naughty Dog is the absolute king of the Action-Adventure genre.ID: gq5daos
Hmmm... I should do this.ID: gq4ys1d
Rofl the games are fucking terrible. They shouldn't be called tomb raider at least, because they have nothing to do with the original games. It was all about puzzles and exploring areas to figure out how to get to the next one. The reboot is a fucking action game with repetitive game play where you need to grab flowers and wood for weapon upgrades that are meaningless and unrealistic. There is no exploring or puzzling, a dead brain vegetable could finish this game, just by rolling his face on the keyboard. The reboot is all about killing everything on sight and small tombs that are nothingID: gq5fm2m
How do I enjoy them? All I see is these obvious paths game wants me to take. I tried to turn off all the hints and such off but it's so obvious, feels like I'm not even solving anything... Can't imagine what 2nd time around would feel like.
Not like the combat makes it any more bearable as it's just generic... I almost finished the 2nd game and just quit it out of frustration of the feeling of "this is the same game I've played over and over".
It's just a package of all the games, nothing new or special.
Looking at the store page and seeing the "what's included" section it's just all games and all DLC.
No word yet if there's any kind of updates or enhancements. Maybe some patches for Xbox Series X? Maybe DLSS 2.0 for Shadow of the Tomb Raider?ID: gq4dw31
Shadow already has DLSS iirc. I looked it upID: gq856nk
definitely going to be updated for ps5 and xsx
Does it have the remastered version of the first game? Because I like how it looked but the PC never got it.
I'm actually a little surprised Square Eidos haven't tried launching a new game right around now, as the last two generations they've done a game straddling old and new console generations. I know why though, because they've got their hands full with AvengersID: gq3sliy
I know why though, because they've got their hands full with Avengers
Yeah unfortunately they shelved a lot and pushed most their western manpower over to working on that turd.
Solid games. I think they peaked with the second, the third has more puzzles but a weaker story. I'd play more of them for sure, and yeah like everyone else the disconnect between story "ew can do it, laura!" and me nade launcher butchering undead samurai is apparent in all of them, but they are still fun games and I've a soft spot for Indian Jones style hidden mysteries stuff. Shadow just has a weak internal story and kneecapped the overarching story.
RTX and DLSS 2.0 ?
I’ll wait for the “Tomb Raider: Uber Ultra Definitive Superior Elite Premium Trilogy Deluxe Edition”ID: gq3q2x6
I'll stick with the "I already own those games and I'm a PC gamer so I don't have to re-buy relatively recent games just to play them on my current system" edition.ID: gq3t7n8
Dub edition remix.
Be a good add to gamepass. Already own base games for the first two but been holding off on the third due to reviews, glad I did if its coming under my sub for free anyway.ID: gq5qf7y
How do you get a free sub?
Maybe this will be a bundle on Steam? Give people who own a game or two a discount?ID: gq5qhfz
Just buy the games separately. There's nothing special about this bundle.
Christ, I got excited thinking this was a remaster of the 90s games. Shows how much I pay attention to the new games in the series.
