I'm legitimately upset by how bad everything on the east side of the map up to the hydro station is. One PoI, a handful of stashes that looting will get you killed unless the map's dead, and an ass-load of spawns in which those closest to the river must either camp and wait to be pushed or push out themselves and probably get shot in the head by somebody who spawned closer to the middle and chose to camp.
I actually enjoy Shoreline a lot when I spawn on the west side, minus how unnecessarily close together some of the spawns are. When I spawn on the east side, I hate it more than Interchange. And when somebody likes a map less than Gammachange, you have a serious problem.

Shoreline is a great example for the flaws of the current spawning system. Looking forward to the implementation of more dynamic spawns.
ID: hupvw7mID: hupxpn8People always say dorms is shit for loot, but I think the dorm keys lead to a really good dense spot for jackets and containers in 2 and 3 -story tbh.
ID: huqlk77Customs is well built i just don't think it's a good beginner map as everyone says. You get forced into pvp most matches and there is limited space to go to avoid it. Not an issue but I think it can be discouraging for new players
ID: hur0mteI think Customs is a decent example of a map with reasonably well distributed loot,
i love customs and i agree but there needs to be more loot across the river. the trailer park should have way more loot now that the west side got a buff.
ID: huq9nnlMy criticism of dorms is that the car should be a PMC+Scav extract. There should be a permanent extract besides ZB-11 for people who spawn on Big Red side. Perhaps Mil Base Checkpoint.
ID: hur3fuvDynamic spawns will be the bee's tits. Imagine a dynamic spawn putting you even closer to another team than the current static spawns.
... Which will happen, because the current spawns are about as spread out as you can make them, without spawning people directly inside high loot areas.

Shoreline needs a rework
ID: huqoydrAn FOB like the one on woods would be a godsend for the east half of that map. Like copy and paste it into the north east side and the map would be VASTLY more enjoyable
ID: huqku6xI agree, it’s trash. There Is too many quests on there for there not to be loot in different places on the map other than resort.
ID: huqm5vgI mean there's loot, but if you don't know where the stashes are it def feels like there isn't. and of course the issue of there being nothing on the east side and scav spawns being broken.
ID: huqoszdYeah I love shoreline and agree it needs a rework. The east side spawns are too easy to push at the beginning of a raid. Anytime I take new pmcs into shoreline raids, they’re immediately curious why I’m ADS’d seconds into raid.
ID: hurb8a9There's the area over the river that could definitely be expanded (over the railway bridge). Remove the Road to Customs extract and have another bridge over just past it, and put the new extract on the other side. I'd also put something more worthwhile than a single ruined house in the top right area - if we're stripping the fence back a ways you could have an FOB up there.
The map is VERY stale at this point, and definitely needs some love, especially now the jackets have been nerfed (meaning most of the time you can - usually pointlessly - loot all the jackets in Svet uncontested).
-
If you like PvP or need pmc kills for quests, east isn’t a bad spawn at all.
ID: huq46nyYa it's not always about loot, at least later in the game your loot is that pmc you kill
ID: huqm13fCame into a night raid last night with nothing but a shotgun and a flash light, walked out with 5 chads full of loot. Craziest first 2 minutes of a raid ever but for some reason everyone converged on one spot and I manage to take out 3, the first two I killed killed another 1, and then a solo came and I got him. Decked out nv exfils galore. Respect the flechette
ID: hur2wfeAhhh yes, another ump and mmac to add to the neverending collection.
ID: huq7flnTell that to all the shitters with rat rigs lol
-
Hit the 3 stashes right in a row along the east line of the map and then hit the next one at the radio tower. They are all for the most part pretty safe and uncontested most the time
ID: hurbmwmActually, you need to start running west and get head tapped from 300m from one of the 5 spawns along that side.

The spawns are trash for sure but what really grinds my gears is I swear sometimes I spawn in the exact same spot over and over and over and over.
ID: huqaqokThis happened to me a lot more in previous wipes, I had the same spawn for customs and factory every time.
ID: huqe7scplayer spawns is based on hardware, the one who loads map first, will spawn in the same position each time
ID: huqtdiySomething to do with your PC specs apparently.
It was posted in here multiple times.
Customs is the worst because people with the fastest PC’s tend to always spawn over by crossroads.
ID: huqufxuDamn that’s where I always spawn right near trailer park extract. Over and over it’s annoying
ID: hurih4kWhy the hell do they not just randomize the spawns? That would make way too much sense I guess.
ID: huqt35cYou spawn on the north-east corner of the map 4/5 times too?
-
Is east spawn that bad? I go to shoreline to do quests so I'm not that qualified to say, but I've only been spawnpushed once, and that was on a west spawn. The map tends to be empty even during peak hours and most people go to resort anyway. If you're looting other locations, I figure it's actually better to be on the eastern spawn because it's not gonna get looted anyway and you have to run less distance to exit while loaded with loot. But again, my experience isn't representative so I'd like to hear some counter-examples.
ID: huqae3wNo Shoreline the only place I have died on Shoreline this wipe is Resort and I have done 25-30 raids there.
I have some easy rules that I always follow: Always have an exit strat on resort. (Zombieland rule 15).
Do not go pier unless you have the best spawn in construction.
East spawns? Stay low in a bush for 5 min, i usualy alt tab and drink some coffe. Most will wait rather than push, they usualy think no one is there if it is quiet for 5 min.
Crossing the river by the bus station is pretty safe if you do not make tons of noise.

Whoa no need to bring interchange into this

There are a million stashes. I’ve pulled slicks many times. Got a rivals arm band the other day... traded it for some of the military power filters I needed
ID: huqh09813 stashes I can think of
ID: huqpgamSee id hate myself if i pulled a rivals armband cuz its either i keep my alpha armband and take a risk on the rivals or vice versa
-
If you learn the stashes you can hoover up a great amount of loot tbf.
-
Atleast you can run directly to path the lighthouse and GTFO that satan's spawning asshole
-
Just run south and head for pier. If you run towards the resort you're accepting death.
ID: huq0gpyIf you run south you run most of the time into construction yard spawn or radiodish spawn trying to get those easy kills. Source: how i got all my svd kills and shooter borns on shoreline.
ID: huq4x96construction spawn = easy kills sitting on the hill waiting for the shit spawn to move towards you
ID: huq331kFor construction spawn its the other way around for me, if i spawn near i rush it for the easy kill
-
East side has 12 stashs.
ID: hur060fNot all of us are stash goblins though.

My experience from fairly low amount of Shoreline Raids is quite different.
West = I'm dead. Usually sniped in the face from unknown location.
East = Nice and calm, good distant visibility, PvP is fairly rare unless I go to the Weather Station.
South ( Shoreline ) = Sniped in the face.
North = Sniped in the face.ID: hur4ceiExactly this!
-
Shoreline = great loot, trash map layout
-
The problems is two fold. No loot on that side of the map..no buildings apart from weather station. And the fact the terrain leaves too many open sightlines..but useless open sightlines cuz the ONLY time you can ever snipe from weather looking towards the entire road leading to road to customs is at spawn or maybe at the end of the raid.. that's it.. during the entire raid there is no reas for a pm to go there unless they spawned there or have to extract there.
If they added more varied terrain like the woods expansion part..more trees.. better hills and dips, some wheat to duck in to..etc..and then open up the port for looting..that would be amazing.
-
I agree, they need something to offer a little more cover on the east side of the map. It’s too easy to get one tapped 1-2 minutes after spawning. Even just expanding the area with the crashed UAV a smaller village would offer at least a path.
-
I’m not a player who will rush Resort on a shoreline spawn, I have a few keys but I almost never bring my shoreline docs case as I know my odds of getting there first and getting through the rooms and out with loot are pretty slim as a rather newer player.
I actually kind of appreciate the east side of shoreline and all the caches it has to offer. They’re relatively close together but don’t have great sight lines to them so they’re pretty safe to loot. If I get an east spawn I’ll turn it into a hidden cache run and get some scav kills along the way. Though I can 100% see how annoying these spawns would be to players who strictly want to get to the big loot Resort since it’s literally the only reason they have to go to shoreline.
I rather enjoy shoreline but I haven’t been playing it for years and years yet either
-
Shoreline is the worst map in the game at the moment.
The additional exfil and closing of rock passage has been wonderful.
But you’re right, the road to customs side for spawns is just garbage.
If I get the weather Spawns I literally just camp the rocks and go for SBIH kills because there’s almost always someone just wandering out in the open oblivious to the threat that the massive high ground over an empty field presents.
-
Snoreline is the worst map in the game by a country mile. I go when I must, but I hardly ever enjoy the experience.

Spawns can only be so dynamic when most of the loot is in one place, though.
As much as people get tired of it, I think Customs is a decent example of a map with reasonably well distributed loot, although the dorms rooms need a buff for sure.
