New players are discouraged by the game. flea market lvl 10 shit u literally are just shit out of luck if you need a surgery, hell there’s no reason a new player would even believe surgery exists.
We also tell all new players customs is where they should go but it’s one of the worst spawning maps where u need to do specific stuff in certain spawns or u will almost certainly die to chads. Idk man I’m just trash and trying to learn but this game man ugh

Stick with it! This game does have a serious learning curve, but I think part of the fun of EFT is uncovering the layers of the game and engaging with the community. The harshness of the game makes you celebrate the smallest victories (making it out alive or that first PMC kill) and I love having the "ah-ha!" moments when I learn a new trick or tactic.
Customs is a great map b/c its linear and gives you a realistic expectation of EFT's pace. Learning to survive a raid on Customs will arm you with the skills to survive on other maps.
And the game will reset on the next wipe anyway so everyone will start at zero.

It's gonna be tough to get started right now as we're far along in the wipe - only a few months, but due to some economy issues everyone who's played for a while has more gear than they know what to do with. It's still worth playing so that you get a hang of the mechanics and can really hit the ground running after the next reset tho! Being out-matched in fights is always going to be a part of the game, so you can look at this as a hard lesson in how to choose your battles and get the upper hand.
All that said, you're totally right and the game is not helpful to new players at all. Even just looking at it from a knowledge point of view, I don't think I felt confident that I knew wtf was going on until I watched a heap of videos about getting started in Tarkov, and that just shouldn't be necessary.

Sounds like you have bad tactics. Don’t start the game near the reset and, like any other economic based game, supply and demand bro. Wherever the majority of people are is where inflation will be. How about you plan ahead and get in front of that inflation curve instead of whining about being bad on customs that has a lot of high tier loot and missions.

I know cheating is a problem but don't blame bsg. Look at cod for example. Activiosn is a multi billion dollar publisher with multiple triple a studios and their games are full of cheaters too. Then what can a indie studio like bsg do?

Difference here is that Call of Duty has a user-mode (lowest privilege) anti-cheat and EFT has a kernel-mode (highest privilege) anti-cheat that doesn't support EFT's game engine made by some German kid who copies all his code off coding forums

Maybe a hot take, but you should try extract camping. 1) If you survive, you'll get good loot and 2) the more you do it, the more spots you'll be aware of, and survive others extract camping better.

What happens if I upgrade from basic edition to EoD mid wipe? do I have to wait until next wipe for all of the stuff that comes with the upgrade?

Can we just remove grenades for next wipe or limit them to one per raid.
Literally zero skill to spam nades and takes away from actually having to have a gunfight. Its absurd that people just spam 4/5 nades on any engagement.
I'm sure this will get downvoted by those using it as a crutch but the gunfights have got ultra dull.

Disregarding grenade usage as a crutch when it's an important skill in PVP is your own shortcoming. If someone is spamming nades at you it's quite easy to avoid, all they are doing is wasting them.
You say zero skill but if you're getting killed by them guess what that makes you.

Grenades are used to slow people's advancing and to force people to move so you're either pushing too hard and straight or not relocating enough.
The third main use is clearing trapped players or extracts which usually means you're basically dead already.
The skill with grenades isn't kills, but to stress out opponents and stop them camping.

Also the idiot that decided that you cannot pull your gun out unless you remove your hand from your keyboard should be sent to the gulag. What about I can run in a room and actually start shooting right away instead of being some limbo mode while the game decides when the gun is ready to fire.

Instead of milking hordes of cheaters and making Tarkov unplayable for most; why not to give an option for a monthly Subscription to play on clean / premium servers?

Who do you think BSG was marketing to with the package deals for multiple copies of tarkov? It’s not some guy buying 5 copies for all his friends. It’s cheat providers buying bulk accounts to provide with their hacks or in the event of a ban. Good cheats give free accounts to users in the event of a ban.
BSG makes so much money from hackers. They love ban waves. It means in a few days they are gonna see 10s of thousands of new game purchases. Buying new accounts is just the cost of business to many of these hackers that make good IRL money from Sherpa runs/selling gear.
A big issue is Tarkov runs too many crucial things clientside instead of serverside. This is why the hacks you see in tarkov are bananas compared to other games. Another issue is tarkov doesn’t internally verify game files mid-raid. So besides injected hacks there are game file exploits via scripts being done which battleeye and tarkov doesn’t pick up.

Exactly, this is well said. Developers has 0 shame by doing so. We are basicly paying for a broken product which is not being said directly. It's just a business, unfair one.

No announcement but our best predication is still 2 months away given the historical timing of wipes (
so you can push for Kappa still depending on how close you are.Just an informed prediction though, it could be Thursday next week as well or the first Thursday of 2022 for all we know.
